I was checking my emails when i came across one about free grants. I started to delete but I didn't ( first mistake). I read over the website and though what the heck it's only $1.95. I was a little concerned about being a rip off but said heck whats 2 bucks. (yeah right!) I too paid with my debit card for the amount of $1.95, but never did i see an agreement stating that it was a 7 day trial offer not to mention I would have to cancel within that time or becharged $49.50. anyways, I tried to log ito the instant acess website i was give but to my surprise .. yeah right i could not enter the pages it was a bunch of mumbo jumbo which had nothing to do with free grant money. It was late when I tried so decided to try again in the morning however, still nothing. so I called I had trouble getting through to a person. I was calling during the correct hours but said due to high call volumes ( probably others trying to get answers) please try later or would ask you to leave message only if you new the extention. finally i got through. talk to a gentleman and explained to him about the problems i was having and wanted my $1.95 back. he stated that he could not refund my money since it was a 7 day trial. which i questioned. but he told me that he would cancel my account and i would no longer be charged any money. a few days later i was checking my finances and found a charge of $49.50 on my acount I was in awe. I could not believe that. I was mad. so i called or tried to i should say never gat through. i searched for an email and found one so i posted a nasty little email stating that i had spoken to someone just a few days earlier and i was being charged nearly fifty buck and i stated that i wanted my monoy posted back to my acoount ASAP

. i got a response the next day stating that they did not deduct money from my account and that i must be mistaken... yeah right. I have been trying to get through since may 9th, 2008 and had been unsuccesful till today , when i found yet another 49.50 pending on my account . I called and spoke with a manager named Shelle, explained what had been going on told me she would refund today payment of 49.50 but could not help me with the other. since there was no record in the system that i had called or sent email canceling the 7 day trial. I tried to explain to her that i had done so the very next day i my placed the order. I
also told her that i didn't have acess she told me i was not doing it right because they have a highly high tech system that is glich free. that there has never been other complaints about not being able to acess the web page and that it was just me tring to get my refund after not following directionand cancelling whithin the 7 days She stated that there was no log of me ever calling and that noone ever has trouble getting through to a live person. she became very rude when i told her i demamded her refund the other 49.50 and that i wanted to talk to someone of higher authority she told me that there was noone higher that her and that i was wasting my time and she would only cancel today and refund n49.50 which was pending for today only. i becave very vocal to her surprise before i hung up. . I feel stupid falling for this company i should have followed my first instinct in deleteing when i first seen it in my inbox. Please beaware do not be suckered into it also. this company has to be stopped!!!!!! Also I want to state that in a rebuttle from an emplyee , Nick Ramos, he stated he was very sorry for the lady Carrie F. was treated and that noone eles would would ever be treated that way by customer service again. Well I guess he Lied!!!! because guess what it did and will continue until that company gets stopped.

I would like to apologize to Tracy about the inconvenience while placing an order for our materials. I have talked to Customer Service, im not there on every phone call so I do my best to make sure that each and everyone of our customers are treat with the up most care. We do send out a confirmation email following your order which has your user name and password on it however there is a possibility it got shuffled to your bulk mail. It could also be that the email you typed in while signing up was incorrect. We do keep a log of each phone call. If you have any further concerns you can contact me by email at Support1@grantresearchguide.com

Below explains the reason for the charge:

You may have noted that before clicking the "Submit Order" button on the home page of the Grant Research Guide, directly below that big red box is a paragraph stating, "By submitting this form I am ordering the Grant Resource Information and trial membership. After the seven day trial I will be charged $49.50 a month thereafter if I do not cancel. I have read and agree to the PRIVACY POLICY and Terms & Conditions. Cancel any time by calling 1-800-235-1364." Information about the trial membership can be found on either our Terms and Conditions, located at http://www.grantresearchguide.com/terms.php or on the payment page, where you are asked to enter your payment method and information.

There it states: "A free seven (7) day subscription in the Grant Research Guide Resource Center is included with each free CD that is shipped. If you choose to cancel your subscription to the Grant Resource Center anytime within the first seven (7) days of sign-up you can do so without charge. If you decide to keep your membership in the Grant Resource Center, a charge of $49.50 will be automatically billed to your credit card each month for continued subscription access. Please see the Terms and Conditions for additional details."

I will take care of this and again apologize for the misunderstanding.

With Regards,
Grant Instructor LLC
