Grant Seeker Pro refuses to refund for items I have proof they received back ripoff Placentia California
This started on March 8, 2006. I was interested in getting a government grant and found Grant Seeker Pro's website. Everything seemed ligit. My Grandmother actually purchased the Grant Guide Book and CD Software Program for me. The total came to $66.94.
After receiving their package, I realized that it was not at all like they said it was on the website. I couldn't find anything to help me and it said you had to contact local small businesses and congressmen in your area to get them to back you and write letters for your cause.
I returned the package to them on March 27, 2006, INSURED.
After several emails asking if they had received the package, on April 14, they finally responded that they had not.
Finally, after months and months of not getting responses back from my emails I sent them this on August 21, 2006:
To Whom It May Concern:
This is one of several emails that I have sent regarding this issue. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REPLY. On March 8, 2006 I placed an order for the Grant Guide Book & CD Software. The order number was ########. The price was $59.99 + $6.95 S&H.
I spoke with a gentleman named Alex regarding this information. After receiving the book & CD, I decided that it was not what I thought it was and returned it to you. Now, everytime I email, no one replies to me about why I have not received a credit on my credit card. WHY IS THIS? I WOULD APPRECIATE SOMEONE CONTACTING ME ABOUT THIS IMMEDIATELY.
On SEPTEMBER 25, 2006, after tons of emails, and after I threatened to get the BBB involved, they responded by saying they did not receive the package back and wanted a tracking number.
I went to the post office. They gave me the tracking number, the date and time it was delivered back to Grant Seeker Pro, and a copy of the signature of the person who signed for it.
On September 28, 2006, I once again emailed them back:
HERE IS THE INFORMATION REQUESTED REGARDING THE ORDER BELOW:
According to USPS, the item was returned to you on 4/3/2006 at 12:55pm. N. Patel signed for the package. The tracking number is: VB26 9872 691U S.
I require an immediate refund for this order!!
They respond by telling me that it's an invalid tracking number and to fax the information to them.
THE POST OFFICE GAVE ME ALL THIS INFORMATION AND THEY STILL DENY THEY RECEIVED THE PACKAGE!
I then emailed them asking who I needed to make the faxes attention to. I did this 3 times with no response. So on September 29, I faxed over a copy of my receipt for the order, a copy of the USPS receipt with the tracking number, a copy of the paper that N. Patel signed, and a copy of the date, time, and address the package was delivered to.
After emailing them 4 times after the fax, they finally respond back on October 4, by saying they never received the fax and to resend it again to Chris' attention.
I have now made a complaint with the BBB. This is the most ridiculous company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They have no idea what they're doing!!!!
ALL I WANT IS A REFUND FOR THE PACKAGE THAT I HAVE PROOF THEY RECEIVED BACK! WHY IS THAT SO HARD?

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Well, I just wanted to let you all know that I finally received a refund!!!!!
After many many emails, reporting this company to the BBB, the California Attorney General's Office, and many many more emails, they finally gave me the refund that I deserved.
Just a note to all who are fighting this company for a refund: PERSISTANCE IS THE KEY!
