After loosing the only income our family counts on, we saw the Grantmaster CD Free offer for S&H costs only ($1.97). We thought we'd give it a try for $1.97. We could sort of afford that, especially if it might help us to get back on our feet. We should have been suspicious right away when the tiny S&H charge was split into two charges, taken by companies with 2 different names. Imagine our shock when our PayPal Account linked to our Ebay Store of several years was overdrawn. Paypal then attempted to access our personal account, which we used as backup for PayPal charges. I tried to figure out what companies were taking money out of our account and why. We did not order anything but a $1.97 CD about grant applications. There were charges withdrawn from our accounts from 3 different companies, all located in Las Vegas, NV. All of the charges put our accounts in overdraft at $34 each incidence. I finally was able to contact Grantmaster/Raven Media and they told me that, yes, all 3 companies were associated and that I signed up for their services automatically by NOT cancelling or unchecking the sign-up boxes on the web-landing page for the "free" CD. They were very nice about cancelling our memberships (?) but did not reverse the charges they had taken, causing our personal account to be overdrawn by $115, our business PayPal account to be overdrawn by $47, and our Ebay store account now remains unpaid and in jeopardy of shutdown. We have spent years building our Ebay business and retain a 100% positive feedback rating! We KNOW what customer service is and these guys are definitely lacking. Because we have lost our primary family income, we have no way of settling the overdrafts with our accounts. We are barely able to survive as it is. We want something done here. This is a crime-if not legally, for certain, ethically!

Next step-the Better Business Bureau if that will make any difference. Thank you reading this and beware.

Resolution Offer

#2UPDATE Employee

Tue, September 02, 2008

I would like to discuss Anna's concerns with her to insure that she is taken care of. Unfortunately, without a last name or an email address I cannot find her account with the necessary contact information.

First and foremost I offer an apology for the breakdown in service Anna obviously experienced. Our policy is to never charge anyone who is not interested the membership portion of the offer. Clients simply need to follow the instructions to contact customer support at 1-866-396-5718 and express a desire to cancel during the free trial period, or anytime thereafter as it is explained in the Terms and Conditions of the offer.

If our support staff fails to offer the quality and professionalism that we expect to provide then I would personally like to know about it so that I can resolve the issue so that it doesn't continue to happen. I also guarantee to personally see to it that anyone who has had a negative experience with our staff or company is satisfied. I can be reached on my cell phone at 435-773-1795 or via email at ryanr@wskc.org. Once again, my apologies to Anna. Hopefully, she will contact customer service or I will hear from her soon so that we can get this resolved.

Sincerely,

Ryan R.
