Mark Gray, a relocation recruiter for Grays Move Search, contacted me in early October about a position with the company I presently work for. In my negotiations with the company, I was advised by Mark Gray, not to ask for a signing bonus from the company, but that he would pay me this bonus. I recieved a confirmation email from Mark of this agreement.

Mark advised I would have this bonus by December 8, 2003. On December 9th, I wrote Mark to ask about the check, I was told and I quote, "Sorry for the delay....I am having trouble with receivables...Call me Friday and I hope to get it out to you then!"

Friday December 12th again I ask about my agreed bonus and I get from Mark, "Payment is to be made next week and I will forward your bonus then...Have a great weekend!"

December 23, I email Mark again asking of any update, he replies back on 12/30, "I am supposed to receive the payment either today or tomorrow and your bonus check will be cut then".

January 14, again I email Mark to let him know of my displeasure and he replies back "No problem other than cash flow...I will get this out to you by the first of next week....Thank you for your patience."

January 26, 2003. I again email Mark telling him I have yet to recieve a check, his reply, "Mike....I will be sending your bonus Friday...thanks for your patience."

Following up on that email and reply on the 26th I get this reply back, "I am sending it out on Friday
Call me Tuesday next week to tell me you got it...thanks."

I email him back asking him for his number. He emails me his number asking me for my address. Funny, cause not only did he have my resume, I sent him the info to be on the safe side on December 8, 2003. I also asked him to send the check Fedex.

January 26th is the last time I have heard from this guy, Mark Gray. I last emailed him February 4, 2003 advising him I have yet to recieve the check.

I have recieved no phone calls, no return phone calls. So although they have a particular niche, I would highly suggest you not utilize Mark Gray or his partner Jim Burns, of Movers Search Group.

Mark Gray's Side Of The Story

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Thu, July 03, 2008

I have recently (July 3, 2008) become aware of this "anonymous" (all the complainant states is his first name and city of residence---I would think it would be more credible to list your full name if you have a complaint or issue with someone AND let them know that you filed such a complain----this was never done by this individual).

First of all, let me state that a bonus was promised by me to this individual. What the individual does NOT state is the fact that HE DID NOT REMAIN EMPLOYED BY MY CLIENT LONG ENOUGH TO MEET MY CANDIDATE GUARANTEE. In other words, he left (or was terminated) prior to the requisite amount of time he needed to remain employed in order to earn the sign on bonus.

NEVERTHELESS, I HAVE PAID HIM A PORTION OF THE SIGN ON BONUS, IN AN EFFORT TO BE DONE WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL. Of course, these facts have not been stated or amended to the individual's original complaint.

I would further add that I have been involved in the recruiting business for over 14 years...a search of the Better Business Bureau records and the archives of this RIP OFF REPORT will evidence the fact that there are NO OTHER COMPLAINTS lodged against me or my company. I believe my reputation in the industry speaks for itself.

Anyone wishing to contact me directly about this may do so by calling me at (678)373-3634 or by email at markgray@moverrecruiter.com .
