Complaint Review: Great American Auction Service

These people are scammers.  I gave them over 60,000 in furniture to auction and split fee was 60/40.   They took the furniture and kept all the money.   They also kept valuable items, such as pictures, videos and family albums.  

I relocated to NYC and moved back to Houston in 2014.   I had a moving company charge me 9,000 to move to NYC.   The fee for moving was paid by the company I worked for.   I met Peter and Mary from Great American Auction Service by phone and hired them.

Since I had already relocated back to Houston and my furniture was in stroage for 4 years in Hyde Park NY.  I had no use ror it and the option was to sell or auction.   

Mary and Peter felt that they could get around $20,000.00 and kept telling me how beautiful my furniture was.   They stole everything for me---- SCAMMERS!   They even kept the pictures and videos.  They did send a small couple of checks, very very small to make it seem legal.

It was the worst scam I had ever encountered personally and I still upset over it.
