Great American Readers refuses to cancel subscription Horrible customer service; rude people; demand full payment before cancelling subscriptions Bloomington Minnesota
Daniel, Whitney, Texas - I have been trying to cancel my scription with Great American reader for three months, and every time I talk to them on the phone their only response is "pay your entire bill, and then we will cancel it" - that is not just the payments I have not made in the last 3 months, but all the future payments they want! Three months ago I called them and told them I wanted to cancel, and then they just cut my payment in half - I didn't want ti cut in half; the first words out of my mouth was that I want to cancel everything! Their tactic not is to call my work phone, and try to bully me into paying the entire bill. They are threating to "send it to collections" - the truth is that I don't have the money to pay all of it; and when I told the last lady that, she started to scoff and make rude comments about how I can pay everyone else, but not them. The whole point is that i do not want or need their service. My mistake was trying to be nice to their first telemarketer - I swear I thought he said I could cancel this at any time. But now they only care about their money - I feel I am being bullied.
