In April 2006 we were conned into a Timeshare presentation while a guest at The Grand Mayan in Puerto Vallarta. We were held at the presentation, which was high pressure, for over six hours. When we told them we were leaving for the 8th time, two men approached us and told us they could give us a Vacation Club for a fraction of the price which had been presented to us. We were then pressured into purchasing the "Vacation Club" for a meer $2,400 or $2,500. It was supposed to give us 14 weeks of vacation, plus a discounted cruise, discounted car rental, discounted airfare, etc., and we have since learned the coupons to all be worthless. We were told there was no expiration date on the coupons, which we later learned to be false. This company should be sued and put out of business.

We were guests at the Mayan Resort in Cancun last year and met up with another couple who had had just been taken by the same high pressure team like the Grand Mayan group. The lady was in tears as she felt they were pressured into something they couldn't afford. I went over her contract with her carefully and assisted her in getting the contract terminated after going through the wringer with the staff at the sales office. I only wish I had had someone to helf me with the contract when we were taken. It was too late when I read the small print and couldn't cancel our contract - unfortunately.

I was pleased to help at least one person from fraud and getting taken by the Mayan Sales Force.
