It is a shame to report a "religious organization" for insurance fraud but let's face it, the guy claims to be a "prophet" so what do you expect. Perhaps Mr. Eric Mitchell should refer to the book he preaches from and hear what it has to say regarding thieves, liars, and false prophets. My concern, however, is more for the members that are being brainwashed by his nonsense. The church caught on fire and our company did the restoration. The insurance company sent the check to Eric Mitchell and he kept it and refuses to give us our money. I'd like to show up there on Sunday and see how that story would wrap up a service.

GREATER EMMANUEL CHURCH (our Church), did, in fact, catch on fire.  The Church did require repairs as a result of the fire.  Our Church had temporary repairs performed.  As a result of monies being paid by the insurance company for the repairs to our Church, a contractor was not paid immediately.  The checks issued to the Church were also in the name of the mortgage company.  When checks for the repairs came back to the church signed from the mortgage company, the construction company was paid in full.

If this construction company used Ripoff Report to allege that the Church was involved in an insurance fraud, it is an out-and-out lie.  To state that Pastor Eric Mitchell was a thief, liar or false prophet is an out-and-out lie.  The insurance claim, restoration and payments were handled by a deacon of our Church, not Pastor Mitchell.  Neither Pastor Mitchell nor the deacon did anything inappropriate, illegal or wrong.  The construction company has been paid in full.  It is admitted that there was a delay in paying the construction company. But the delay was not because of any fraud or wrongdoing as explained above.
