A friend, Mr. Green, who is a very popular radio announcer on a local radio station in Vermont. Hired green mountain basement to help in when his basement flooded. This was an emergency situation. The basement was flooded and they had just moved into the house. green mountain not only couldn't have cared less that they were in an emergency but were rude from the start. After several days of not showing up, they finally showed up. They came and installed a single sump pump and ran the outlet out of the house. Since they were in a crisis they totally took advantage of the situation and charged over $2,000 for just a single sump pump. They left the pvc pipe on top of the ground outside and told them that they had to come back when the ground thawed. Well, needless to say after the ground thawed, they never came back. We called the owner mike sears, and what a THUG! He was belligerent to us over the phone. We told him that we were told the pipe was supposed to be buried as part of the price and he started screaming and swearing at us! I have never heard such language and unrefined stupidity towards a customer in my life!
They finally called another competing Basement company, to come and finish the project. The owner Joe, came to the home and installed some additional drainage. Did way more than they expected and fixed several of green mountain’s mistakes at no charge.
I strongly recommend that you do NOT hire green mountain basements to do any work on your basement. The owner is the rudest and most belligerent angry man. It's no mystery that there are so many people who have had problems with this company. My friend is grateful that they found a person Like Joe to fix the mess green mountain basement made.
