Green Works US takes advantage of the elderly and installs walk in bath tubs without proper city permits and licenses. Their product has many service issues after the tub is installed which they do not like to fix and make it extremely difficult to get a hold of someone on the phone when there is a service issue. The tub is made in China and the electrical and plumbing will not pass US codes.

They charge more then 100% mark up value of the product. Legal action will be taken against this company.

From the perspective of a Safeguard Tub installer

I am a general contractor, licensed by the state of California with a 'B' license. The 'B' license is the most difficult to obtain and requires the most expansive knowledge of the practices and applications in the construction industry. I am a sub-contractor/installer for Safeguard Tubs. My company (which the terms of the Ripoff Report disallows me from disclosing the name thereof) has an AAA business rating with the Southern California Better Business Bureau and has been operating under the same dba since 1994. The foregoing establishes my professional credentials to submit this rebuttal.

Where the tubs are made is irrelevant, all that matters is the quality of the tub itself. As an installer, I am required to demo the old tub or shower, prep the area for the installation of the electrical and plumbing components, install the tub and then, finally walk the customer through the operation of the tub. it would be great if that's all there was to it.

I am also required to cater to the emotional needs of some of the elderly customers. Some of them are lonely because everyone they knew in their lives has already died and the customer is still here, all alone. Some of them have severe medical problems or dementia and are verbally abusive. I am not a counselor, a psychologist, psychiatrist, or a hospice worker, I am a general contractor in the customer's home for one reason: To install their tub.

Again, my business has an AAA business rating with the Southern California Better Business Bureau to do construction, remodels, repairs etc. I am not an astronaut, a lawyer, doctor or botanist. I get paid by the tub installed, not by the hour. Time spent with the customers chatting it up so that I get a favorable review is money lost, especially if they are just plain mean and want to lash out at anybody because they have been left all alone.

Relative to the price of the tub, if somebody is out there manufacturing and selling the same tub with all of the same features for half of the Safeguard Tub price, nobody knows about it except 'Annonymous' (the person who filed the complaint). The complaint should not be taken serious since no complaints have been filed since and the complaint itself is nebulous and specious and fails to point to any specific egregious acts or failures thereof.
