Connected with a compamny after using google to search for dryer vent cleaning near me. A beautiful website showed up guaranting professional services and rave reviews. Online contact and text follow ups did not disappoint.
However, guy shows asks what the problem is. I tell him i bought a new dryer and cleaned the connection when dryer was replaced a month ago. It appears to me that sometimes its not functioning as it should. He disconnects my dryer and says...yes it needs to be clenaed all the way to the roof. To do that it will be $450.
I was shocked....he would not budge from that price. He says the $69 I owed him was only for the visit and maintenace. I asked him WHAT Maintenance has he done? He said "I disconnected and looked at the vent" told him to connect my dryer and leave my house. I'm appalled they are out there ripping off the public like this.
