Greenleaf Polymers Scam, fraud Took down payment for container of recycled material, did not deliver Dubai UAE Internet
I was contacted and offered a container of baled drums to use as recycled plastic. On the Proforma Invoice it clearly stated 50% down, 50% upon shipping documents. The Proforma detailed the shipping documents to include at least four photos of the material as it was loaded, and the container number and seal number.
Mr. Pascal Berger wanted payment through paypal, then changed to wire transfer. We paid the 50% down. I received a BOL from "Worldwide Freight Swift Cargo" - also a scam and fraud, and Greenleaf requested the rest of the payment. I asked for the photos and was told his camera had a virus so there were no photos.
I told him we would not pay until we received the container. Pascal at Greenleaf said we needed to pay the shipper, Worldwide Freight Swift Cargo. We refused. It was agreed they would ship the container and we would pay when it was delivered. The delivery eta was 1/6/14. We never received the container. The container number was found to be nonexistant (UPLE2942011). Lost $6600.00
