GreenTree Financial Services Payment rip-off Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
We co-signed a loan for a mobile home in Aurora, Colorado, in 1999 for our daughter and son-in-law. We had no idea who would be financing this home at the time we signed the loan, nor the interest rate (we were TOLD it would be for 8.75%). The first indication that we would have problems was when our daughter started making payments, and we learned the interest rate was 10.75%. We still had no inclination that we were in the hands of a predatory lender. The last eight years have been an education.
Previous entries under this company are plentiful, and cover all the many problems we've had except the latest one - missing payments made through Western Union. My daughter has made at least two payments through Western Union that the company has denied receiving, and we've made one payment when they couldn't that also has been claimed as "missing".
Western Union has earned a very bad reputation lately of not verifying payments sent are picked up by representatives of the company that should get them. I'm sure GreenTree has found this another excellent way of fleecing its "customers".
I, too, am extremely tired of the harassing telephone calls, especially the ones at o-dark-thirty in the morning or late at night. We've also been through the Greentree/Conseco/Greentree loup, with the financial machiniations that has caused, as well. These people definitely need to be stopped, permanently. The owners need to be on the receiving end of some physical incarceration and HUGE fines for all their little "tricks".
I have a bad back, and tension exacerbates the problem significantly. I'm about ready to sue GreenTree just because they're causing me additional physical pain.
