I started taking care of my parents finances after my father became ill. If they became disabled the mortgage was supposed to be paid by Mortgage Ins.

My father fell off a roof and suffered a Tramatic Brain Injury (TBI) We were so thankful that they had the insurance. Then the nightmare began. They told us there was no Mortgage Insurance.

My father survived the fall but now has alzhimers as well as the TBI. They filed bankruptcy because of medical bills and included the mobile. Since my father cant be moved we are stuck with paying for it anyway. My mother takes care of him in a mobile that was financed for 48,000 in 2000 and they now owe 48,500.

They tell me it is because of the simple intrest loan. Simply put they rip people off. They only care about how much money they can stick you for. What would happen if everyone stopped paying in protest?

I used to work for greentree/greenpoint. get a copy of the contract and read over the insurance information. Also, call and talk to the insurance department they have a different number not the one you listed. Call the customer service and ask for insurance do not enter you acct # but push 0 and talk to live person. No matter what get the copy of the original contract and it should be on there from the dealer if you had/have ins. It was probably written in you parents pmts.
