Yes I was 2 months late! I had a stroke and was out of work. They called my husband over 50 times at his job after we requested by phone and in writing that they cease. I was able on Sunday to Western Union them a payment and also gave them a post dated check that caught my account up. I spoke to 2 Reps that said everything was fine.

2 Hours later my account rep called and said that they also wanted legal fees. When I inquired what the hell was going on since I was told earlier in the day everything was fine a manager interupted the call and said that I had recieved a certified letter stating that I would need to pay " legal fees" because they had sent my account over to the legal department. I explained to this rude manager that I never recieved any certified letter and she pretty much called me a liar. When I then asked her to prove it by sending me a copy of said letter she said she didn't have to prove it.

I have filed a complaint with Florida's Attorney Generals office and with the fair debt collection people. I have taken alot of abuse from these people but the straw that broke the camel's back was when they somehow got ahold of my teenager's cell number and told him that he had rotten parents and that he was going to be homeless for Christmas. If everyone files with their home state Attorney General's office they will have to do something.
