Complaint Review: Greenview Homes LLC

Greenview Homes built a custom home for us and, as usually occurs, had a punch list of items to be completed shortly after closing.  They ranged from small, simple problems to major ones.  The in-house architect was not qualified (which we discovered after the fact) and had specified materials that are known to have serious issues.  In addition, the quality of the workmanship was poor at best.  This was the least of the issues since the company met financial problems after the recession in 2008.  We were patient as we believed that trying to work through the financial problems and giving them some time to recover would be a goodwill gesture that would be repaid by them living up to the terms of the contract.  Just the opposite occurred:  After years of waiting, they finally acted as if they were ready to remedy the problems and instead caused additional damage to our home and have now refused to return phone calls and emails.  

We are now looking at significant additional costs to repair the original damage as well as new costs to repair the damage they caused more recently.

These are BAD guys who appear to be reputable when you first meet them, but they subcontract work to sub-par contractors and do not stand behind the work.  They continue to build homes on the North Shore of Chicago and take unsuspecting homeowners hard-earned money with no intention of providing a quality product or service.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL REGRET IT!
