I purchased a Pre-owned Factory Certified vehicle from Greenway Ford on November 16, 2007. I was told that a 6 year/100,000 bumper to bumper warranty would be included in the purchase free of charge by the Used Car Sales Manager, Alvaro Lezcano. This was witnessed by the salesman, Mark Risner. The finance person, Miguell Torres, incorrectly charged me for the warranty. The salesman, Mr. Risner, informed Mr. Torres that the warranty was offered free of charge. Mr. Torres removed the charge, but refused to provide the warranty without first speaking to the Used Car Sales Manager, Mr. Lezcano. At this point no one will return my phone calls to resolve the matter. In fact, a different manager started to help when I was repeatedly unable to speak with Mr. Lezcano and he put me on hold while on the phone and I was subsequently disconnected (hung up on) and neither he nor anyone else from Greenway Ford will call me back.

The "Hispanic Businessman of the Year" strikes again!

#3Consumer Suggestion

I can echo the comments of the other respondent. In all of retail, the car business is WELL KNOWN for FRAUD and DECEPTION. Our defense is to be a smart consumer by doing our homework and reading everything before signing. Greenway is a well known SCHLOCK operation. Being a smart consumer will prevent you from being DEFRAUDED by such people. Greenway has a history of misleading advertising and bogus fees, among other such wonderful, high integrity business practices. Just enter the name in this website's search and you'll see. But I have more bad news for you...check your paperwork. See a BOGUS FEE? Maybe its called a "dealer fee" or "service fee" or other such DECEPTIVE nonsense. The CON-GAME works like this...represent a price for the car but then make up another dollar amount and call it a "dealer fee" to add on. Frank Rodriguez is the President of this septic tank. Or maybe its "Frank Fraud-riquez."

Several years ago, Frank Fraud-riquez was given "The Hispanic Businessman of the Year" award. Apparently that year no one else was considered.

And guess what...The Central Florida BBB fully supports this operation. Pay your fee to the BBB and they will tell the world how honest and full of integrity you are.

Did your WRITTEN contract include that 'free' 6 year/100,000 bumper to bumper warranty?

If not you will probably NOT get it. They will simply run you around in circles until you tire of the chase or until you understand that you are not getting that warranty for free. Verbal promises usually are worth less than the paper they are written on. These people could fix you up with a free 6 year/100,000 bumper to bumper warranty in 15 minutes if they really were ever going to do so.

Next time, do not be in such a big hurry to get a new set of wheels that you fail to get everything in writing. The more money you spend, the more time you should be willing to take in spending it. And the first time the dealer stalls you, creates confusion for you, or tells you to trust him, for heavens sake, leave. If you stay thinking things will get better or they will see your viewpoint and be reasonable, they will know they can control and manipulate you. There are zillions of cars & trucks available. There is no need to rush into a purchase.
