My Experience at Greenway Ford Orlando FL.

I decided to trade in my 2005 Explorer to get a more fuel efficient vechicle. I decided on a 2003 Mustang. They gave me 15800.00 for a trade in allowance on the explorer, the price for the Mustang was 11555.00. After all the fees that gave me 3500.00 back (cash) my explorer was paid off in full and I held the clear title in my hand. We signed and drove the Mustang off the lot. On the way home, we took the Interstate, this was the first time i had driven the car on an open highway. I didn't like the car and decided that i couldn't live with it, i had driven nothing but trucks for 20 years prior. (All fords mind you) We got home 20 minutes later and my husband went straight into the house to call the salesman.

He told him that we wanted to get the explorer back, The salesman informed him that the deal was not reversible after tring to talk to the manager who said he would call back and never did, my husband went back to the dealership first thing the next morning, which was a Sunday. The manager then informed him that I could trade the mustang back in on another car but that he was NOT going to get the explorer back. My husband told him that we had just made the deal less than 24 hours earlier and that he expected to have to pay something for at least the dealerships time but to be fair because we knew what they had given us for the explorer the day before and we wanted it all to end on a positive note. He told him that there was nothing he could do and that is there policy.

My husband then informed him that there had to be something and to let him know what the bottom line would be to get our explorer back (fairly) he came back with these figures.....He sold the explorer back to us for 17800.00 and said that was a deal because he could get a whole lot more for it on the lot, gave us 11000.00 for the mustang because we had driven it 40 miles he charged us 555.00, charged us tax, title and registration fees paperwork fees and a 500.00 delivery fee to drive the explorer from the back of the building to the front (still untouched and dirty) When it was all said and done we had to give them back the 3500.00 (the cash back we got from the explorer) and 4508.00 out of pocket. I had to pay Greenway Ford 8008.00 to get my explorer back that they had less than 24 hours.

This happened on a weekend so I know for a fact that nothing had been processed and probably not even in the computer system yet. if you count the mustang and the 2nd time i bought the explorer this is the 9th ford i have bought. I am a dedicated ford owner, i am all ford and nothing else. I feel completely vialated and can't believe that human beings are capable of treating other human beings like this. and if greenway is allowed to continue to treat people this way it will ruin the loyalty that people have for fords. i was sick for the whole time it was happening and absolutly miserable. they should not be able to get away with making people feel like that.

i realize they did nothing illeagle.......just imoral. Since, we have had a phone call from the salesman, he informed us that we forgot to sign a form, my husband went there the next day to sign it and he could not find the original form and brought out a blank one with no information on it just "cancellation of payment" across the top and told him to sign that and to forge my signature as well, of course he didn't do it and with work and everything I have not yet had a chance to get down there so he calls every day with threatening phone calls.saying there would be a lean put on the truck if its not signed. I know that Ford as a company likes loyalty, as I stated before, I am totally loyal to Ford and would drive nothing else. But other people that go to Greenway to buy a ford for the first time most likely will go some where else next time for those people are rude insensitive and completely immoral. I trully felt like someone had broke into my house and completely ripped me off. No one deserves to be treated the way that they treated me. Thank You,

Stacey
