I signed a note for daughter to get a car and she was supposed to payfore if and she didn't. Nissan told her that she wouldn't have any payments for 2 months which was a lie. She got in about 20 days.

Next, Nissan told her that they would give her $3000.00 for her car and that was a lie. They didn't give her anything. Nissan was trying to seel her another vehicle with a big gas mileage and I told her she needed something with better gas mileage so they offered her the Nissan Fronteer. It was better on gas alright but about $10,000.00 more than the other vehile. They knew what they were doing.

Needless to say they knew I couldn't pay for that truck if my daughter didn't pay. Now I have to pay back $16,000.00 dollars and have nothing to show for it. The Tifton Gazette (Tifton Police Department) said they have had lots of horror stories about things that Nissan did to people here in Tifton. They said that one person took their vehicle there to trade it in and when they decided they were unhappy with the vehicle and took it back Nissan had already sold their vehicle.

I just think Nissan lies to just about everyone that goes their to do business and they just moved into a new building and I guess I am helping to build it.

Signed, Depressed and violated

They are indeed the house of shady deals. They lost their Chrysler/Jeep distributorship because of their sales practices. Now they are left with only Nissan. If they continue in this fashion, I feel certain that Nissan will abandon them, as well. You reap what you sow.

Sounds like a high pressure sales environment. Sounds like a case of buyers regret. I assume your daughter is legally able to buy and sell her car. Please note that I said legally. You and your husband (if possible) or another more sales savvy person should have accompanied her to keep her out of this situation.

The salesperson did what they are paid to do. Granted they should have been more focused on what your daughter was asking for (she should have told them she was looking for a car (as opposed to a SUV) with good gas mileage and a lower payment). Did she do this or did she just go I want an SUV with good mileage.

Your daughter probably signed an a sales agreement. This stated what the sales price of the car was, the trade in value of her car, taxes, and so on.

If she signed this knowing that they weren't really giving her the trade in value as discussed this is her fault. She had the right and opportunity along the way to say NO that is not right and this is not right and have everything settled before hand or walk out the door and drive home in what she arrived in.

She should take this as a lesson learned in life. Of course you always have the option to make a public complaint on the media if they will record your problem. Also another tool you have is when they send you the survey asking about your experience just let em have it and give them low ratings all around. Despite what folks may think they do note these things. People have had their dealerships removed if enough people complain or express dissatisfaction. If there are other examples of this problem you should probably send them other articles or reference other complaints as well.
