GREGG LORENZO
Confessions of a Whistle Blower
Hello, my name is "THE TRUTH" and I have been in the financial industry for over 20 years. I have worked at some of the top firms in the world such as JP Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley for over 20 years. I have also published articles in several publications.
This is my new Blog dedicated to uncovering the truth.
Today I would like to discuss a small boiler room type of organization I was briefly associated with called Charles Vista, located on Williams st in New York City.
I was initially introduced to Charles Vista by a recruiter with anexcellent presentation. After doing my due diligence I decided this was the right fit for my line of work.
During my brief tenure I observed carefully at how the place operated.
The board room was filled with young ambitious men, at least a small group
of them. There was around 15 -17 brokers all in their mid 20's to early 30's.
Some of them worked in teams, others seemed to just straggle along. There was a team of 2 brokers I sat next to briefly named Adam and Tony. Boy, did I feel bad for their clients. Most of the day, Adam would search the internet shopping for watches and cars. While his partner Tony would doze off like an drug addict. At first I assumed it was from a lack of sleep.
Then I seen him take a pill around 9am. These two barley came in, it was like a part time job for them. So I wondered who was watching out for there clients?
Then there was a so called investment banker whom was a smart fellow in his mid 30's from Russia. He claimed to have had a personal net worth of 100 million dollars. However, I believed he spent a little more time in the office than necessary. Not because he was a workaholic but, because I believe he was homeless.
There was also a senior broker by the name of Dennis he ran a team of about 10 brokers. At first it seemed as if he was the man running show, the way he paraded around the office in his custom suits. As you settle in, you realized he is a arrogant tyrant wanna be who ran his team as if the were preparing for war on wall st. Great if your 21 to 25 fresh out of college and wet behind the ears but, not for a 43 year old seasoned veteran like my self.
Then there was the CEO and founder of the company Gregg Lorenzo.
Upon introduction I was impressed to see he stood tall at a whopping 5'1 roughly 115 lbs in his mid 30's. He was the best of all sales men. I mean this guy can sell.
He stood in his office a good portion of the day and only came out to give his 9am morning meetings. The meetings became redundant after my 5th day there. He would constantly brag about how he built the firm in his closet and how he was building a 15 million dollar mansion in Staten Island. Insisting on how we should follow in his foot steps and invest in his real estate fund. One of his minions was a kid named Anthony. He reeked of marijuana and looked as if he was never on the same planet as the rest of us 90 percent of the time. That's when I decided to start investigating. Not too shortly after that I starting questioning, Who is this Scam artist Gregg Lorenzo ?
My investigation began at the company website CharlesVista.com that's when I realized that the so called president of the company Thomas Riggiboni, was nothing more than a front man. Gregg ran the company and called all the shots. If you look up Lorenzo's public record on Broker Check:
http://brokercheck.finra.org/Search/Search.aspx
You can clearly see that he has a history of stealing money and misleading clients. Upon further review, it appears Gregg Lorenzo is under serious pressurefrom the SEC and Finra. This year alone he has two pending investigations. One from 2/27/12 and one from 8/20/12 and has 9 complaints over his 10 year career.
How can Finra and the SEC allow this guy to run a company ?
What's more amazing is how in a post Bernie Madoff era Finra and the SEC would allow this to continue. Shame on you Finra and SEC for not protecting the little guy. Shame on you for allowing this white collar thief to continue stealing, cheating and lying. Shame on you Gregg Lorenzo.
This is "THE TRUTH" Whistle Blower and I am watching you Wall st.
