PUBLIC NOTICE:

We were sold an engine with a 90 day warranty, and guaranteed tested and good. Installed engine in vehicle and engine was immediately overheating. Contacted Chris with Griffin Imports. We removed engine, returned it to Griffin Imports. They denied warranting, so we paid them to shave head and replace gasket. we installed engine again and this time no compression. we had to purchase an engine from another vendor to get our customers vehicle repaired.

Griffin Imports could noT produce VIN# nor mileage of vehicle that the engine was removed from. Extremely poor service, poorly ran business, and horrible parts.Consumers please BE AWARE and do not make a 3800.00 mistake having to buy two engines for one vehicle and risk losing customers or money wasting time with Griffin Imports. Their warranties are stated but not honored. You will lose money and your religion will be challenged dealing with Griffin Imports and Chris.

BUYERS PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

"Overheating" Doesn't Equal a Bad Engine

You didn't mention anything to indicate a proper installation. Overheating accounts for about 75% of engine failures in replacement scenarios and is caused by faults in the cooling system, not the engine.

Since you didn't mention it, I'm going to assume your mechanic didn't replace the thermostat, water pump, or have your radiator tested.

It sucks when your engine blows up, but wanting someone to handle a replacement of this type is like buying a house and then wanting your money back when you burn it down.
