My question is this:
Has anyone else accidentally ordered a second grip n flip due to this merchant's misleading computerized questions? If so, how do you feel about it?
I ordered a grip n flip spatula from an infomercial on the Food Network.
The entire process was computer automatedthis became a problem because after I ordered my first order, the computer tried to suggestively sell another grip-n-flip at a reduced price. When doing so, the computer went through its sales pitch and asked the following question Now tell me, what is the total number of sets that you would like to purchase?
To this, I replied one, thinking that I only ordered one product total. The computer system never gave me the total amount of items that I purchased, and it also never gave the total amount of money that I spent. However, after I hung up the phone, I realized that I had probably ordered two sets, and not just one.
After realizing this, I called back in order to cancel the second item. Although it was a Saturday at 2 in the afternoon, the company did not have a single customer service agent; instead they only had the computer answering service, which did not provide an option to cancel my order. Finally after a few days of calling, I was able to contact a customer service agent on a weekday and cancelled the second order.
My question is this:
