On Nov.5, 2007 I ordered a CD from Google that was called Get Rich With Google. It cost only $1.95 & I thought that sounded fair. I am very cautious ordering anything online or giving my information. As soon as I ordered it - it immediately told me that I have 14 days free trial period. I was shocked because all I wanted was the CD to look over & see if I may be interested. So, I immediately called after searching for the terms of agreement that was not explained BEFORE I ordered the CD. I called the toll free # on Nov.6, 2007 to cancel because I am disabled & I do not have the money to pay for this service (whatever it is?). I talked to a lady named Lindsey at Ext. 2105. She found my name & info in the computer & said she cancelled immediately. I explained how serious this is to me being in poverty already. She said I did not need to do anything else or email anyone. It was taken care of she said. I was given an authorization # - CKJ2975630.
So, I received the d**k, but due to illness I have not had time to watch/listen to it.
I checked my bank account last night & saw where there was a deduction for $40.95 listed as follows: 11/19/2007. 14:02:04. 010096. GROWING RICH W/ GOOGLE. $ 40.95 .
I WAS VERY UPSET! I called them at 3 AM, and the girl said she could not pull anything up in her computer because it had been cancelled? Then, WHY was I still charged this huge amount of money?
So, she said call at 7:30 AM. I called this morning & the lady talked to me, my husband, & my son. She argued with all of us, acted like we were lying, and said we called the wrong company???? No, this is a scam & they bait you & get you to order that CD for FREE & only pay shipping of $1.95. THEN - you get online & have to search for who to call to cancel! You can find this company listed under at least 3 different names. I was treated ugly, and they are NOT going to reimburse my bank account so I lost almost $41! Now, I do not have enough money to survive the rest of November & there will be no thanksgiving for my family!
PLEASE beware of anything that has to do with Google money making! They will cheat you out of money & swear you never called and cancelled or that you called the wrong company??? It is insanity!
Now, I have to worry about them deducting $40 monthly from my one & only cjhecking account, and the money they deducted last night caused my account to go into a negative balance which costs me bank overdraft fees!!!!! The phone number I called was 1-866-396-5695.
And, trying to match up these company names & information wasted 2 days of my time! I spent a day upset when I first signed up for the FREE CD & I called to cancel - and, I fortunately wrote down all info & kept a copy of the agreement. Then, I wasted all last night & today trying to get them to reimburse my bank account the $41 they stole from me! What a fraud!

Growing Poor With Google is what happens. Consumers/buyers/workers BEWARE!

They will promise you a free CD for only $1.95 shipping & even if you cancel by phone, email, in writing - they will still deduct the $40 from that account you paid shipping with! You will be ripped off! I cannot afford $40 on my disability!

First of all let me offer my sincerest apologies to Betsy. You are correct, there are no commitments with the free product. There is a bonus free trial period to the membership websites that accompanies the free CD and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and in the confirmation email. You can also see that it is disclosed in the Terms and Conditions of the offer. It is certainly not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer.

Unfortunately I was unable to locate an account for Betsy with the small amount of information provided by this report and also offer my apologies for the way our staff treated her. Betsy, I assure you that will be addressed as soon as I am able to speak with you directly. My contact information is below. If you would like to contact customer service they can be reached at 866-396-5695 Monday-Friday 9 am - 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.

If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please call me directly at 435-773-1795 or email me at ryanr@wskc.org and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP.

Sincerely,

Ryan R.
