I bidded for one FJ Cruiser in January 2013 for $10,000 but GSA asked for $13000 which I agreed to pay and with the charges paid $13,822 only after two weeks of silence from them, mails and calls not responded to, I finally got a mail form Alex informing me that the insurance refused to release the car. I made another search and wanted a 2012 Jeep Grand Chirokee for which Alex sent me another 2012 Chirokee Jeep picture as ready to ship. He charged $15300 + other charges with a promise that the car will be ready to ship out on March 11, 2013 and John Daniels will contact me.

John contacted me and put the cost of 20HC for $3222 which I paid to his Alexo Consulting Account with Wells Fargo on March 6, 2013. Eventually John delayed the car until April 15, 2013 to get another car to load with mine in a 40 HC . The co-conssignee paid him on 29th April 22013. The bill of lading shows that the ETA of the cargo is May 26, 2013. To our surprise, John after several demands sent us a draft B/L and we continued to request for the originals to clear the car for which he refused to pick our calls or respond to our mails.

Finally, he sent a mail to Regional Sales Manager/Business Development of ATI USA Inc the shipping line requesting what documents we would require to clear the car after our several calls and e-mails. Luckily Elena who is the RSM/BD at ATI replied through mail which John forwarded to us. That mail gave us the opportunity to have a direct mail contact with Elena. The mail exhange shows that John has failed to pay the shipping line for the cargo and ATI is insisting that unless the cost is paid they would not release the telex to clear the container. All mails and calls to John has not been answered while we are working to avoid paying demurrage for late clearing.

Salvageworld may afterall not be a decent company to deal with. The local contact of GSA in Nigeria made us to believe that John claimed he gave the money to his boss which is to pay for the freight. After overcharging us, delayed the car and now refuse to pay the shipping line. They are certainly a gang to rethink for business deals. Any assistance to get them to release our cars for clearance is appreciated.
