GSMMonster.com Defective Product, Bad Customer Service, Faulty Return Charges Cedarhurst New York
I purchased a phone from GSMMonster.com and immediately upon using the phone I noticed that the display lights were faulty. After downloading a picture of what the lights are suppose to look light I realized that I had been sold a defective phone. Aside from this, the battery life was extremely short and was definitely abnormal.
I called the company to exchange the product and was "disconnected" on the first call. I called again and was then put on hold for about 15 minutes before a man by the name of John (last name was never provided) answered. Although noticeably unwilling, he answered all my questions and we went through a standard phone reset procedure to see if that fixed the problem.
After 20 minutes I called him back and told him that I had taken pictures to show what the screen looked like and we agreed that I would send them to him. He said he'd call me back once he received the email, but right before he got off the phone I pointed out the fact that he didn't have my phone number - another part of his poor customer service.
I felt really uneasy about this company so I did further research and found a report on ripoffreport.com from another consumer complaining about this company and stating how they are basically a scam company. I returned the phone and called AMEX to cancel the charge.
So far the company has only refunded me a partial amount of the charges and I am currently fighting another ticket with the charge to GSMMonster.com in an attempt to regain the full amount.
Please avoid doing business with them at all costs.
