I was called by an alleged discount travel agency that said I'd entered their contest on the internet and that I'd won a trip for 4. All I had to do was pay shipping and handling and preview their package deals with no strings attached, cancel within 30 days of receipt of the package of information.

Well, no package was forthcoming, but my bank account was charged $49.50. I called my bank and asked what to do in such a situation and they said they'd stop any further payments, but I'd need to contact the company to request reimbursement.

Naturally, "John" was less than willing to refund my money, claiming I had indeed received my package. I asked if it had been sent certified mail. He said no. I asked how he could confirm such a crucial and valuable item made it to the right place if they didn't certify or insure it. He said he'd mailed it, so it must have gotten to me. (He's never met my neighbors, apparently. These are the folks that will steal garbage out of the back of your pick-up.)

I called my bank back and they faxed me forms to change my debit card and all other critical information and start proceedings to get my money back. The kind lady helping me with this issue called the number herself to confirm my information. Seems "John" told her I had never called their office.

So, here I am, collecting information to send to my bank to prove that I didn't charge the item and to attempt to put these less-than-adorable folks at GTIMS Shopping Pro through the wringer.
