Complaint Review: Guardian Financial

This company called me on my cell phone a few days ago. Told me that I could get a GOLD MASTERCARD with a limit of $2,000 guarenteed... and that I had applied for it online. I remember applying for a credit card I just couldn't remember which one so, I just figured they were replying as they said they were.

At first I thought this has to be either a secured card or a shopping card of some sort. My credit isn't the best. They assured me it wasn't. Then, after a few questions to reassure my self that I wasn't entering into some kind of scam and multiple times of asking them if the initial limit would be $2,000 regardless, I agreed to have it taken out on 9-17.

The sales lady told me that I could basically put it right back in my account and not to worry because it would be at my home within 7-10 days. I called them back because I got to thinking if it is going to be in my account that soon, I might as well go ahead and do it now. The woman who answered the phone said I could not get transferred to the extension the initial lady had given me. So, I told her I would like to get it taken out today (9-13) instead of 9-17. She said she could do it tomorrow (9-14). I agreed.

Then, I got this horrible gut feeling after I couldn't find a website for them on the internet and when I went to google, this site shows up!!! I got scared and began reading. My next step was going to the bank. I stopped the withdraw and changed my account.

Now, I have to order new checks and deal with the withdraws I have coming through. I hope everything goes well. If it doesn't, I will take legal action. I was stupid for not trying to find their site to begin with and I have learned from my mistake. It won't happen again.
