We purchased a 5 year warranty for a sectional sofa with 4 mechanical recliners  primarily to assisst my husband who is disabled. We purchased the sofa from a large local chain called Jerome's. Within 2 years we were having trouble with the main recliner shorting out and filed a claim- twice- because they supposedly lost our paperwork. They denied the claim becasue they said they didn't receive the paperwork within the 10 day period required. We called and spoke with a supervisior and they told us to re-submit everything with an explanation as to why we did not meet the 10 day period. We sent the paperwork again by mail and USPS confirmation signature with a rebuttle and they again denied the claim stating it did was not received within the 10 day period required. We called and spoke with a supervisor again and were given a new claim #. We submitted everything again only to be denied again! The local furniture store won't step in and help us and Guardsman  won't honor our claim. There are almost 1000 complaints filed with the BBB with very similar experiences of denied claims due to "lost" paperwork. This warranty is a waste of money! Don't be suckered in to it!!
