I just want to confirm what other customers have complained about. Gulf Power overcharges it's customers routinely. First off customers are being charged more on days the weather is colder. Doesn't matter if you try to conserve energy or not, they use cold days as an excuse to charge customers more. Tell me how can a family of 4 have a lesser bill than someone that lives alone and uses less energy? Also what are these fuel charges for? I've been charged on an average $40 for a fuel charge. That's ridiculous. Especially when I don't know what that charge is for. I guess it's ok to rip everyone off since they monopolize energy in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The state of Florida needs to stop this company from robbing its customers. Thank God I'm moving away from this area. I have lived in colder states up north and never had electric bills as high as I do in Florida. I know something is terribly wrong with that.
