We experienced Gulfstreams lack of producing a quality product and shoddy workmanship first hand.  We purchased a 2012 Enduramax for $86,000 in August 2012.  We had the unit in our possession 2.5 weeks prior to going back to the manufacturer.  We had major system failures and everyday of our vacation was spent fixing the camper enough so we can continue our vacation with our children and extended family.  We had several water leaks in the main living area as well as in the underbelly.  We found the main water line was comprised of 18" pieces scrapped together with clamps.  We had electrical failures only to find out all of the wires were missing nuts on the ends therefore the wires would come apart during transit.  The slideouts would not work properly and leaked, the lights would fall off the walls and ceiling during transit. The air conditioners did not work or the DVD player.  The motor that ran the back hydraulic legs went out and we had to hot wire to get home. The black water and the gray water labels were mis-labeled so the first time we went to dump was a mess. The 100 gallon water tank would only hold 50 gallons due to all the lines being kinked.

Gulfstream picked up our unit in August and did not return until mid December.  When the unit was returned it was in such bad shape that the dealer could not return to us.  Even though Gulfstream indicated that everything on our 2 page list had been fixed.  We also found discrepancies in what the brochure listed as selling points but our camper did not have.  Our camper was missing items that were there when it left the first time like ladders and the switch for the new stablizing motor was wired backwards.

Gulfstream picked up our unit in January 2013 and had it for another 2.5 months.  When it returned the slideouts still did not work correctly, the hitch pin was bent, the fiberglass hitch cover was broken, the countertops were scratched, the wireless entry would not work, the motor for the stablizing back legs went out again.  Even though every window had to be replaced, two windows were leaking already. When my husband was attemping to find the wires to work the keyless entry he found that they had not replaced the scrapped water line.  On the line were the 4 clamps that we had purchased just to get our unit home from vacation.

We kept thinking that Gulfstream would make this right.  How could such a big company build and repair such a terrible product.  We thought we had a lemon and could get this resolved but after reading some of the reviews I discovered we don't have a lemon but a typical Gulfstream product.  Our dealer kept telling us they would make it right somehow and at the end they did.  Our dealer is showing some integrity and replacing our Gulfstream Enduramax with an RV from another dealer.

Today we unpacked our Enduramax for the last time.  Only to discover that when the windows were replaced they were installed over the string that controls the blinds so the binds do not come down.  The floor is starting to buckle and creak.  The living room slide lost a bracket, bent the slideout rod and damaged the fender AND the motor for the back stablizing legs went out.  I said a little pray as we drove to drop off at the dealer that it would stay in one piece until we could unhook.  I also will say a prayer for the unsuspecting soul that will buy this used RV.  Buyer beware.
