The same as another rip-off post by Laura of Simi, California. First paragraph of the letter reads:

Many are called but few are chosen. The reason for your good fortune is clear, you have been an exceptional lucky sweepstakes winner. That's why we are delighted to inform you through this letter that our network system shows you as the lucky winner of unclaimed prize money in the amount of $50,000 USD (Fifty Thousand Dollars) The system indicated that you won the award on September 15th, 2006 sweepstakes draws.

Just like the other post, a cashiers check was included for the amount of $3,000. Calling the phone number 1-403-889-5419 you speak to either a Norah Williams or Perry Newman. They tell you to deposit the cashiers check, wait until it clears and send $2,400 to Felicia Evans in Fort Myers, FL.

Be careful - the $3,000 cashiers check looks real but is a fake! I deposited it and followed all steps up until the money transfer. I let it sit untouched in my account for well over a week and then, sure enough it was pulled back out by the bank. The cashier's check I received was from the Bank of Hawaii.

Laura was right - if you receive the same letter, rip it up and throw it away!
