BEWARE of the Proactiv Solutions trial kits and billing arrangement. If you order online, be aware that you will be signed up for automatic monthly billing and delivery. THIS IS NOT MADE CLEAR to you when you order. You will not have the opportunity to choose.

There is language on the invoice when the kit arrives saying that you must activate your account online "as an ActivMember," though again, you've not been asked if you want to be one. It is inferred that you become one when you activate this account online.

After this activation paragraph, my invoice said that I could "expect your next kit to be shipped the week of April 5, 2010 and charged to my account..." My account was charged $37 the week before that of April 5, and when I called to cancel and obtain a refund, I was told by the call center in Delhi that the product had already been shipped and A) I would have to send it back, and B) a refund would take six weeks!

Aside from the deceptive trial kit offer, the INVOICE STATEMENT IS A LIE. If you have ordered a trial kit of this product and are not expecting your bank account to be hit by this company, call them and cancel immediately. I think attorneys general should be notified and the company forced to be clearer about its intentions and its billing schedule.
