Complaint Review: H.A.L.O. ANIMAL RESCUE

My daughter gave her dog to this rescue organization. I called on 10/21/13, just 10 days later, Chewy was still available for adoption, I called spoke with the manager of the location that Chewy was being held for adoption. I told Danielle the manager that I wanted to get Chewy back. She said that would be ok, and I told her that I would be there in the afternoon, since I lived about 50 miles from their location. She said that would be great. She asked me if I needed a friend to adopt for Chewy to play with, I told her I had 3 small Chihuahuas for him to play with. She said ok, we will be open until 8 PM.

I told Danielle that I would be there in the afternoon. I got there at 1:45 pm. Danielle told me that Chewy had been adopted out!> I was so upset! I said WHAT? She said I'm sorry, I have been in meetings all day and didn't relay the message to the girls here, and so Chewy was adopted. She said, I made the mistake, not them. She said she was sorry, and that nothing could be done!

I told her that she needed to call the family that adopted him and she said she couldn't do that. She called her boss the owner Heather Allen. The owner said they could do nothing. I warned them that I was going to hire an attorney and file a lawsuit against the manager herself, and also the owner. She looked upset and worried.

I asked her if she could call the person that adopted Chewy tomorrow to see how he is doing, she said she would, but could not tell them that I wanted him back. That SUCKS! 

Danielle knew I wanted Chewy back. She neglected to do her job right. She neglected to inform her associates that he was going back home. She did not care about my feelings. She did not care that I lost Chewy. I blame the manager for not doing her job right. I blame the owner that she makes it impossible to get your pet back. It's all about money.

I intend to hire an attorney to file a suit against the manager, and the owner. They need to change their paperwork in order for the owners to get there pets back if they want them. Chewy was still available, the manager did not care enough to get Chewy back to his family that loves him. Someone that knows that he needs. 

This place is not about love, it's all about money. Find a better place for the pets you do not want.
