Complaint Review: H2O Pools - Rick Guerra-Prats II

Rick Guerra works in the Kingwood area cleaning pools. He was referred to me by a friend who said he was the best price she'd found. She said her pool was maintained well by him and his crew. He asked for payment up front for six months to receive a special rate. I hired him in August of 2007 to be serviced through January and for the first month and a half our pool was beautiful. In late September, a strong storm blew through and our pool wasn't serviced for three weeks. Needless to say, it was green. He finally began servicing it again until early December. By the second week of December, we were having holiday parties and it was green again. We tried many times to contact him with no response. I finally spoke to him the weekend before Christmas and he said he was heading to my house the next day. He never showed or responded to any of my attempts to contact him. He basically stole at least 2 and 1/2 months of pool service money. He has done this to at least two others I know. One of his crew left and went out on his own and could give a pretty acurate report of his "shady" business practices as well as his habits. Stay away from his company!
