This agency have their phone number posted on several apartment's for rent through "LAOPINION.COM. Therefor, I felt like I had no other choice but to give them the money they were charging. I made that decision because just about every single d**n number I see for rent is an agency.

I paid them about three weeks ago. They told me that they received new listings of apartment's for rent every Wednesday's and Saturday's and that they would make sure to find you a place within two or three month's.

My problems began the first week of the contract when I would call and ask for Roxane, they would make up the stupidest excuses why she was'nt in and why they did'nt have access to the new listings. I kept calling numerous times to get new listings and answer's to why they would'nt return my calls. Being put on hold for ten or even fifteen minutes sometimes and to top it all off they would steel have the nerve to give me the click. Doing this to me, nuh huh, they just went on and hit one angry nerve of mine. Therefor, if I have to, I will go straight to the Department Of Cumsumer's Affair and wipe them out completely. Not only because of all of this, but because not once did they hand over a key or had me meet with a landlord or an owner.

I requested a refund. They told me that they would send the refund request form to headquarter's. My next question was..."Is there another Hacienda office?" and she answered "NO". That's when I knew something was definitely wrong.

Would not bother with Consumer Affairs

They do not like to prosecute these companies due to the fact they keep loosing the cases to many witnesses they bring forward are caught out in their own lies, which in turn costs the state because they are the ones financing the case normally at a cost of $9000 a day court time plus investigating fees, and the state is NOT amused when a witness gets caught out with lies, just one lie ruins the whole case.

What happens is the consumer that uses the service goes through a song and dance routine to either get a refund when not due by making up a series of lies or they think the service offers more than they agreed and paid for.

The consumer then trots of begins their bevy of lies and exaggerated complaints to the consumer affairs and off course when it ends up in court the company gets to say their side with NO INTERRUPTIONS, the consumer gets on the stand and the companies lawyers catch the consumers out in their own lies based on evidence provided by the consumer and evidence researched by the company (yes they do keep records on you).

Good Luck but your better off going to the beach and relaxing.

Sounds like the company you dealt with had idiots for employees but that is not a prosecutable offence.
