We purchased a timesshare with this hotel over 4 years ago, because we wanted to use the other hotels listed in the Premier Travel Catalogue.
When we enquired about booking a hotel in one of the catalogue, we were quoted the full market price for the room - there was no discount for Premier Holiday members.

A year later we tried another hotel in another country, and was told the same thing - our points were only valid for the hotel which we had purchased it at.

This past year, we were told to pay an additional fee to help with the hurricane clean up as insurance did not cover the cost of all the damages. Since we did not pay within the allocated time, we would be charged double the amount. I have now heard from other members that your account gets suspended until you pay the fee.

We will not pay any additonal money, as we have a signed contract, and if we pay this time, what is to say that they won't come back to us again, the next time the hotel gets hit by another hurricane?!

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

I hope you can solve your problem, good luck!

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happens with most timeshares. The timeshare biz has to raise some questions, why does the industry produce so much profit ? See the amount that the people working in it, make. To make that much money, someone must be losing no? All the lies the sales people tell, all the 'hard sell' techniques they use, the Shark Tank at the airport, which costs them a fortune paid to the airport operators.Sorry you got into this, but I kind of understand you. I was recently in Playa del Carmen and I was almost scammed with a Royal Elite timeshare. Fortunately enough, we didn't fall for it. I'd suggest you to fight for the cancellation of your contract, you can't let them get away with it.
