Parking Scammers! On Sunday  I took my son for Haircut at  the Hair Cuttery  on 1527 Alton Rd and parked in their parking lot! While he was getting the service, I walked over to T-mobile store, then picked up my son. I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant now and had a low sugar, so after haircut we went to McDonald across the street for ice-cream for no more then 15 min. Upon my return, I realized that the car was towed by Beach Towing! They said it would cost me $283 to get the vehicle! They didn't care that I had a receipt from the Hair salon where I was getting service. They also didn't care that i was 39 weeks pregnant and can go in labor any day!

The tow company told me that Fryd Properties that is the management for the parking lot called them, and apparently Hair Cuttery was a part of the scam. All of them collected money that I had to pay or no car! On top of all the engine sign is on now, so I need to take it to be checked.

A very pregnant woman - what a scam on the part of Hair Salon! I called to get a receipt yesterday and the guy named Shaun told Fryd Properties management company that was complaining. So they are a part of the scam! The lady named Egypt was rude and said we were lying... That we left to Lincoln Rd and car was there for 45 min...

Beware of bad people in Hair Cuttery on 1527 Alton Rd and scammers at Fryd Properties management.  I thought Beach Towing was a BAD GUY but they only execute what Fryd Properties management requested.

Wow...if you look up the work "Entitlement Attitude" in the dictionary, a copy of this report would be right next to it.

First of all Google is a wonderful thing as it allows people to look at the exact address you are talking about.  From the Satellite Image it shows a few things.  First of all the parking lot for the address given has very limited parking, and the picture actually showed it about 99% full(I think there is 1 or 2 free spaces).  Second T-Mobile is not even in the same center.  Then the McDonalds in question is almost impossible for someone to walk from T-Mobile to McDonalds, order, get your order, eat it, and return in 15 minutes..yes even just an ice cream cone.  Especially when by your own admission you were not doing well, and had another kid in tow.   Where you would not be going at anywhere near a "normal" pace.   I'm thinking a minimum of 30 minutes, and would not be surprised if it was not a little longer.

While we are on your trip to McDonalds.  If as you are trying to claim you were not capable of driving because of your condition.  Then you should have called 9-1-1, especially being 38 weeks "preggo".  After all what would happen if you collapsed on the curb.  Or perhaps you are just using that as an "excuse" as to why a company should make an exception for you.  As if this is truly a condition you are aware of you should do what everyone else does..keep small snacks in your car in case of emergency.  After all what would have happened if you didn't have a McDonalds as close as it was?  What exactly would you have done.

But it isn't even the entire issue.  If in your "condition" did you walk all the way to McDonalds.  There is 1 Coffee Shop that starts with an "S" closer..and they sell things that would actually have been better for you.   There was even a Frozen Yogurt shop in the same Center as the Hair Cutting place..remember where your car was actually parked.

So sorry..yes I am calling BS on this "reason" why you not only went to McDonalds but why you think you should not have been towed.

Now, just one other thing.  Yes, you WERE a customer when you were getting your hair cut.  That does not give you unlimited parking privledges, once you are done with that store you are no longer a customer.

The only saving grace to this is that because you are 38 weeks pregnant, I have a feeling that perhaps you are not being totally logical due to certain biological reasons.  If that is the case then I hope everything goes great for you and your pending arrival, and when you come back afterwards you look at what you wrote with a new perpective.

Parking Scam - rude people!

I was in McD for 15 min! I didnt feel well and had to eat smth - quite normal when u are 39 weeks preggo.

It would not be safe for me to drive the vehicle in this condition, so I chose to leave it there. You call me lier, you are some bad people, and what goes around - comes around!

I have not seen mantioned anywhere the fact that now my engine sign is on, I need to check engine and it will cost me much more over the tow fees!

It is sad that Miami Beach property company has such management that doesnt care about people... Had I drove, I could get into accident... But this compny doesnt care!!

Sorry but that is the cost of leaving your vehicle where YOU shouldn't park. Just because you WERE a customer doesn't mean that they are going to allow you to keep your car past the POSTED time frame. It doesn't matter IF you think its a scam. that's the FIRST thing people who get caught say. Oh IM NOT IN THE WRONG, IT MUST BE A SCAM!!! But YOU KNEW your vehicle could be towed BECAUSE of all those POSTED signs!!! Ive been to McDonalds, and I don't get out of there in 15 mins, let alone being pregnant and towing your child along. So odds ARE GOOD that you did indeed stay MUCH LONGER then THEY were comfortable with. As it takes a few mins to put a vehicle up on a tow rack, IF as YOU CLAIM you were ONLY 15 mins, then YOU would have exited the resteraunt and SAW FOR YOURSELF that they were towing YOUR VEHICLE!! SOrry to pop all your lies but be honest at least!! Your story paints YOU as a victim, yet YOU by your own post have LIED!!! LIED to play a better victim. Then YOU bring your pregnancy into it to garner MORE online sympathy. Prego or not, YOU WERE PARKED WERE YOU SHOULDNT!!!! Get over it and LEARN from this!!!! I understand that its not nice to have to pay for a mistake. BUT!!!! It was YOUR mistake in making the ASSUMPTION that since YOU frequented a business there that YOU could JUST walk across the street and get food. Had you gotten back in the 15 mins that you CLAIM, you wouldn't have been towed. It was more then likely a time frame around 30-45mins. Far longer then ANY customer needs to leave a parking lot AFTER using a service there. YOU made the assumption. THEY just didn't fulfill that assumption and YOUR vehicle got towed. NOT A RIPOFF WHEN YOU DO IT TO YOURSELF!!!!!!! Its YOUR VEHICLE. its YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to park in the correct area.
