If I could leave a negative star rating for this salon I would but unfortunately I can only leave one star. Where do I begin .... I purchased a living social deal for this salon that was good for one keratin treatment. I recently moved here so I have been trying to find a good salon where I could get my hair styled. When I first arrived to the salon I met my stylist. She examined my hair and told me she would need to charge me extra because my hair was slightly past my shoulders. I explained that I had never been charged more for keratin because of the length of my hair. The stylist said she would try not to charge me the extra amount. At this point I am wondering what I got myself into reluctantly I sat down and she started the keratin process. It was clear the stylist was either new or she wanted to rush through my appointment because she washed my hair rather quickly and hurried me into her chair. She dried my hair and started to apply the keratin, she failed to distribute the keratin evenly and I had more keratin on the bottom of my head then on the top. Here is where my visit really went south. Instead of blow drying my hair straight (which is a crucial part of the keratin process) she decided to cut corners and place me under a hair dryer that goes over your head. While my hair was drying she attempted to upsell me several different products. Once my hair was dry she started to flat iron it but instead of taking small sections (yet another crucial step in the keratin process) she grabbed large chunks of my hair. When I left my hair was frizzy and poofy rather than straight. I have done the keratin treatment several times and never left a salon looking the way I did. I was embarrassed and very upset, need less to say I just wanted to get out of there. My older sister, coincidentally had also booked a Keratin treatment with another salon that same week. Her hair looked great and she prompted me to call Hair Inc and explain what happened. Of course they would have to help me with this situation once they heard the horrible experience I had right?........WRONG! When I called I and explained what happened the person on the phone Laura told me she agreed the Keratin treatment was not done properly. She then went on to ask if I had used the shampoo and conditioner from their salon. I told her I did not purchase their products since I already had a rather expensive sulfate free shampoo and conditioner at home. I explained to Laura that I had done this treatment several times before and used the products I had at home and never walked away with these results. Laura said she would speak with the owner and get back to me by the next business day. When we spoke again she told me they would reapply the keratin treatment for me for free. I was a little skeptical since I know for a fact you are suppose to wait 8 weeks before reapplying the keratin treatment. Laura said since the keratin was not applied correctly the first time there would be no issue. I asked if I was going to be charged any other fees she said no. So I drove all the way to the salon waited for Laura and as soon as I sat down she stated I would need to buy the shampoo and conditioner in order to have the keratin reapplied. I asked why seeing as the shampoo and conditioner I was already was the same as the products she was showing me (sulfate free shampoo and conditioner). She said she could not insure the results unless I purchased these products. Sheesh at this point I was exhausted and frustrated yet again. I told Laura she did not mention this on the phone to which she had no reply. She then proceeded to tell me that she would speak with the owner. As if this whole ordeal wasn't bad enough the owner comes out and doesn't even attempt to be polite. I tried to explain what had happened and that I had already spent over $100 on the last treatment that they admittedly said was completed poorly. He cut me off and continued to to repeat, " I can not reapply this treatment if you do not buy this product because of the warranty". I kept asking what warranty he could possibly be talking about and mid discussion he started to walk away from me. When I called Living Social ( another horrible company) Laura lied and said that I had walked away after being offered 25% off the shampoo and conditioner. So in conclusion Hair Inc does not care about customer service or satisfaction and when I asked around after this horrible experience several other people had said the same. Customers beware until this salon has a new owner I would not go near this place. Do your hair and your wallet a favor DO NOT go to Hair Inc.
