These lawyers scammed me. Lawyers treated me very unfairly have a bit of a bad reputation. Yes, they lied to me and misrepresented the facts of the case, failed to take my instructions, and screwed up my case. No doubt most Vancouver Litigation lawyers are honest folk who do their jobs within the code of ethics they work under but not this firm. It takes a special type of personality to be a litigation lawyer. Day after day, you deal with clients who are vulnerable, emotionally due to loss of financial investments and some honest lawyers acting as an objective steward of the law, gently guide their client through some of the most trying ordeals of their lives. Or, if you're a lawyer from this firm, you may get a lawyer as from my experience who bills you unnecessarily and does not take guidance from you and then over bills you. The sad fact is some lawyers from Hakemi Ridgedale whose sole motivation is not justice or their clients' interests, but naked greed. As others have noted, they view lawsuits as a way of backdoor billing. Unless you have been a party to one of the lawsuits in question, you might think that this wave of legal malfeasance is a series of isolated, unrelated incidents that do not affect you.

If so, you would be dead wrong about this law firm. I will not paint with so broad a brush, but simply note that the price I paid for one crooked lawyer in this firm and their rotten deeds goes beyond financial losses, my company ruined and my dreams lost. Worst of all, the collective impact of their devious actions serves to undermine a common belief in justice and respect for the law. And that affects us all especially when using the services of this crooked law firm who exaggerate their billing practices. If you have money to burn, go for it, but rest assured they will drain you financially, screw up and backdoor your case and you will be guaranteed an empty bank account. Roberto Farinha 4 weeks ago- He admitted he backdoored my case after I fired him. But was concerned if I was recording him. Great People!! They now posting reviews themselves on google reviews to make themselves look good DON'T BE A VICTIM TO THIS LAW FIRM FROM VANCOUVER HAKEMI & RIDGEDALE 1500-888 DUNSMUIR STREET VANCOUVER, BC V6C 3K4 https://hakemiridgedale.com Law firm overbilling - whether described as the euphemistic "bill padding" or simply "billing fraud" - is a serious problem that is seldom discussed and even less frequently addressed. But rare is the legal bill that does not include at least some "padding." In our opinion experience was they performed work not because as clients our case demanded it, but because the lawyer needs to bill more hours especially because the lawyer was inexperienced and a rookie.

As an example call with plaintiff ; e-mail to client; revise draft settlement . - 1.0 hours We were billed for a full hour, rather than seven tenths of an hour, which is the actual amount of time spent on the our behalf, so as a client we are essentially paying the lawyer a gratuity of three-tenths of an hour. If this is not a scam then what is it. Simply adding the smallest unit of billable time (0.1 hour) onto a daily timesheet results in an extra $10, 000-25, 000 in unearned fees in a single year, depending upon the billing rate. For the average rookie lawyer, that translates to billing makes it nearly impossible as a client to determine whether they are being fairly billed, and this could end up costing clients over a quarter million dollars for work never performed. So be careful be very careful dealing with Hakemi & Ridgedale
