Okay backround information first. I sold items on Half.com, Ebay is the parent company, and have yet to be paid for them. See when you sell something on Half.com you aren't paid by the buyer directly like on Ebay. The company takes out a portion (because there is no charge to list) and then pays out the remaining every 15 days.

It started fine, I sold 2 books on half.com and waited for my payment. I was surprised at the fact that I had to wait but I did. When I recived and email stating that the payment was deposited I was shocked because I had not seen any payment yet. So I emailed the website costumer service, which then proceeded to take days for a response.

When I got the response, from Lex, I was told that payment did not go through yet, that it had failed. So they tried the process again. I went through this circle several times and a month later I tried to contact Ebay via live help, as their costumer service refuses to accept phone calls. Note: I was told that I would have this payment taken care of manually if the second attempt did not work, however that has yet to happen either.

I once again got the run around. I spoke to May K. in that department who at fisrt told me that she could not contact in any way shape or form Half.com. After much persistence she miraclously was able to talk to Lex directly. She then proceeded to tell (write to) me that she had spoken to Lex and that it would be taken care of. So once again I wait. I waited for over another week and finally got fed up.

I sent email to the company saying that if I didn't get the payment that I was going to contact the BBB and every other consumer protection agency I could find. There response: Half.com has recieved and email and it will take 72 hours for a response.

Well I am quite frankly sick of waiting. So once again I try to contat Live Help. I actually spoke to May K once again and she said once again that she couldn't contact Half.com which was obviously already proven incorrect in our last session. Anyway,I was disconnected with her, at my computers fault.

So I proceeded to try and get back in touch with her. However, when I got back I was given to Amar. A in the chat and he would not let me speak to May K. He also gave me no information, cortusy or service at all and proceeded to disconnect my session!

I am quite upset with the company as a whole, and just for anyone interested, I still have every email and transcript from these sesion so let them tell me I am lying!!!

I AM IN THE SAME SITUATION AS YOU PLEASE WRITE A LETTER TO THESE PEOPLE FOR HELP, EVEN IF YOU GOT YOUR MONEY YOU SHOULD STILL WRITE THEM TO COMPLAIN TO ABOUT THEM.

My State Senator has contacted the Federal Trade Commission on my behalf. I am hoping maybe the Fair Trade Commission is next.

California State Senators

do not contact the US senators but your local State Senators

go to google and type in your state Senator

I am now sending a letter to the Governor of California. Everyone with a similar situation should do all the above.

I got this email:
Thank you for emailing the Governor's Office regarding your need for assistance. Due to the sensitivity of your issue, the Governor's Office must receive a detailed letter in writing requesting our help. If you have not already done so, please send a letter that provides all pertinent information, such as: return address, telephone number, case/claim number and additional material important for the review process, including your signature.

Please address your letter to the Governor and send your letter by fax to (916) 445-4633 or by mail to the following address:

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
