I placed an order for Vanity Fair Magazine, Lucky magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine on 08/08/2007 through halfpricedmags.com. They claim that it will take up to 12 weeks for the first issue to arrive. I never got my magazine, so I contacted them via their customer service web form in November 2007 and February 2008. They never even acknowledged my numerous emails.

Every time I tried to contact them, I had to use their web form because none of the e-mails sent to their questions@halfpricedmags.com received a reply and they don't list a phone number (Surprising!). I am now fed up and I am filing a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau and the FTC, maybe this will finally allow for these thieves to be taken out of the market.

Two days ago, I contacted halfpricedmags.com via their web form one last time to demand a refund and to tell them that if they did not give me my money back, then I will file a complaint with the FTC and any other place where I can file a complaint against them. They never wrote me back and I never received a refund or credit for the $20.55 paid for my order. And halfpricedmags.com certainly did not apologize to me for failing to fulfill my order after seven months.

I suggest that you do NOT use halfpricedmags.com's services for discount magazine subscriptions. They do not provide an adequate way for customers to contact them and discuss problems, and they do not reply to e-mails sent to their 'official' customer service e-mail. The savings is not worth the effort you'll have to put in to chase down your order, and it's not a bargain at all if you don't get the goods you ordered. I think the company not responding to BBB is a bad sign, too. Please go to ftc.gov and file a report with the Federal Trade Commission as well if you've been ripped off by halfpricedmags.com.
