Complaint Review: Hampton Police Dept.

Hampton Police Dept. arrested my family from word of someone I testified against and he got 75 years for the truth I told Hampton Virginia

I was given a crime line number by a Det. Henry Kline from Police Dept. I used the number to call in lots of crimes to Det. Spencer, nothing was ever done.

Five years later I testified against one of the persons involved in several robberies that I had been reporting all along, he got 75 years because the truth I told in Williamsburg va, he got mad and call Spencer, and bittenbender and told them I had taken my family of four with him to commit the same robberies I had reported, for this I was told I had to take a plea agreement or my son would get 100 years, and I would go back to jail for something I did not do ,

Since then Bartholemew has written to the city admitting to the same thing I told them 12 years ago but they insisted I pay ten thousands dollars or go back to jail guess what i am still paying and my son is still pulling time and I have 35 armed robberies on my record that I can prove I did not do if I had the right help. even to some of the police department did not believe this had happened but said it was against their ethic to say anything and there is noway I will ever be able to prove myself without help.

Your State Attorney General's department might have something to offer.

I should have mentioned this before. Just wanted to try, hope this gets through. Your State Attorney General is: Mr. Jerry Kilgore, address: 900 East Main Street, Richmond, VA, 23219, or phone: 804-786-2071 or email: www.oag. state.va.us.

Hope this helps.

God bless.

The information you have provided here is unfortunately not clear enough for a direct and specific responce. I heard nothing about the "Miranda Law" nor the specific charges pressed against you. Most of us do not realize "Theft", "Larceny", and "Robbery" each have their own specific meanings. This is common in nearly every State of the Union. And if you were arrested, and couldn't afford to pay for the service of an attorney, wouldn't one be provided for you?

There are too many missing pieces to this puzzle, but I would still like to offer one suggestion to steer you in the right direction.

Contact the Virginia's Citizens Defense League, P.O. Box 513, Newington, Virginia, 22122, phone: 804-639-0600 or you can access their site at: http://www.vcdl.org

"The Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. was founded in 1994. The group experienced enormous growth statewide....This is a non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to defending the human rights of all Virginians..." Article: http://www.vcdl.org/static/, page 1 of 3, date: 6-24-03

Specifically they are known to defend the right to bear arms/gun ownership, and carry a weapon, but they also volunteer services in the area of human rights, as noted in the article. Even if they may not specify help in your situation, they can probably re-direct you to the right organization.

You may also consider hiring an attorney-pro bono, on a commission base. This would mean the lawyer wouldn't get paid unless you either win or are fully vindicated of all alegations and charges pressed against you. Sorry I'm not sure the spelling is correct for "pro bono".

Please for your own benefit and to recieve the best possible options, try to articulate your situation, with more coherence. You can get better help this way. I'm advising this as you take your next step, in researching your options.

Hope this helps.

God bless.
