Last winter, I received a call from Handi-Tech with the offer to buy two high-tech light bulbs (turned out to be a 99-cent store item) for $26. The representative assured me that the profit will go to the charity organization which helps people with the disabilities. We discussed the specifics of the bulbs I'm ordering. I was assured that I will receive more info with the package.

In the box delivered soon, I did not find any information on whom I am helping, or the name of the charity organization, but the Handi-Tech invoice alone. The package came from the different location than the address on the invoice, and the manufacturing company's address on the box was obscured by the mailing label, so I could not even mail back my bulbs. The phone number printed on the invoice (not toll-free) only played the recording. My message has never been answered.

Soon I received a call from the collection agency, and then another. When I asked for the actual phone number of the company to speak to someone, the lady said she'll give me the HQs phone number, but the next second we got conveniently "disconnected".

I was trying to find the company online, and the only place that had it was your website! Good news is that I did not give my credit card number, as some other folks did. I did, however, learn that Handi-Tech pretends to be or at least to represent a charity organization, so I did not make it up, as the angry collection agent told me. Hope they will be sorry to have represented Handi-Tech.
