Complaint Review: HANGER CLINIC; PROSTHETICS & ORTHITICS

I was in a auto accident 18 years ago and lost one inch off my femur so I require an extended sole on my right shoe.

When this happened I was able to pay CASH PRICE ($72.00 each shoe) at Hanger in Salina Kansas/Austin Texas without having to submit a bill to my insurance company. This has been working for me 18 years now.

I only buy a new pair of shoes every three years. Low and behold I took a couple of new shoes to Hanger in Austin TX. and they have changed the price to Insurance price ($126.00) forcing me to claim this on my insurance now that THEIR rate has changed and is very high.

They are also requiring me to go to my Doctor every time to get a NEW perscription every time I want a shoe to be done. Get this, my leg is not going to grow any time soon.

So now I Pay for the shoe $$$$, I have to go to the Doctor to get a NEW perscription $$$$, Then I have to Pay $126.00 for every shoe that I need a sole on $$$$$. ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUS !

I call this Insurance Fraud !  Only gouging the Costomer for more MONEY. Taking ADVANTAGE of the DISABLED because we absolutely need these !!!

Just like the the company that sells the Epipen.
