As a US Army veteran just returning home from 16 months tour of duty in Iraq, I came home to a few leaking water valves and a faucet in my wife's tub that had quit working. I called Hanna Plumbing and requested a service call. The company came and repaired the leaking valves and looked at the tub faucet. Since the tub faucet has a lifetime warranty, the service technicians told me to order the part from Delta, and when the part came in, they would stop back by on their way back to their shop at the end of the day and install it for me. Hanna Plumbing is located less than 4 miles from my residence. I told them that I could install it myself, but they said they would install it. I asked them how much I owed them for the service call. They said that the company would bill me via the mail.

The installation of the faucet stem would be included in the bill. After receiving the bill for $200.00, I instantly paid the bill with no regret. The bill even stated installing the part when I received it from Delta. After calling Hanna Plumbing upon receiving the faucet part, the service technicians came out to install it. The 'three' service technicians installed the part in 25 minutes. (To install this type stem, it takes a phillips head screwdriver to remove the old stem and then insert the new stem, and then tighten the screw. Very basic task.) On 1/19/07, I received a bill for $80.00 for the installation of the faucet stem. On 1/22/07, I visited Hanna Plumbing and asked the secretary why I received a bill. She said she didn't know and would ask the owner (Tim Hanna). She thought that it was a mistake. She said that she would call if any problem. No one ever called.

On 4/19/07 I received a bill for $83.55 for a past due amount of $80.00 and a finance charge of $3.55. I again visited Hanna Plumbing and asked the secretary about the bill. She stated that she informed the owner to call me and that the bill was out of her hands. She said it was probably a mis-communication. I informed her that no one ever called me about a bill and that Tim Hanna has never called my residence informing me of his decision to just all of a sudden to mail out a bill. I requested her to inform the owner, Tim Hanna, to call me.

The whole time, I always told the secretary, that paying the $80.00 was not the issue and that I would pay it right then. Then my wife got involved. She called Hanna Plumbing and was insisting an answer. After being talk to in a very rude manner and insulted, Tim Hanna called my wife. He said his service technicians had nothing to do with billing and charges and that they should have not told me that they would just stop by and install the part. Well, that has nothing to do with me. The whole time Tim Hanna has been very unprofessional about the issue and shows no concern for his past customers. I cannot believe there is a business in this town operating like this. My feeling was that when he needs a little extra money, he just mails out a bill.

I am Tim Hanna, I have checked with the office staff. No one in the office has any recollection of what was reported. The service tech that worked for us 2 years ago is no longer with us. It is a shame that people can slander a company's good name like this with out identifying themselves. If anyone has any concerns about Hanna Plumbing & Heating they can contact the Home Builders office or Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #125 Union Hall. We do everything in our power to leave our customers with a positive experience when working with them. We even go as far as to have a job coordinator to insure that everyone is properly cared for. I would like to discuss this with the individual who posted this slanderous statement so that we can get it resolved.
