Hans Imports - Omars Garage Horrible Hacks, Never fixed vehicle, left my classic uncovered convertible in rain for weeks North Kingstown Rhode Island
Total hacks- Don't be fooled my this shop. HAN'S IMPORTS ----- "WAS" ------an excellent shop. However, Fulton Martin who goes by his middle name "Omar" purchased this shop approx 7-8 months ago and is taking a ride on the coat tails of the old owners good name. I Towed My VW there and 4 MONTHS LATER is getting towed back out.
They sold me part after part while I told them a half dozen times it was simply the part I suspected it was....(and it was in the long run) Thats not the worst, I had to pay well over 2000.00 for they/re trail and error which DIDNT fix the car. The clown couldnt even make change for the 20 bucks on the $2120.00 bill. While being towed out (after I paid) the AAA tow truck driver told me "Omar" said thank you for getting this sh** box "Outta Here"
I was a master auto tech previous & this was a good lesson learned! Do it MYSELF- I have a court case pending in Dec 2007. They also left this topless vehicle outside in the rain for all that time. Police were also involved last month. My vintage VW is ruined. He also insisted only on cash, and will not take credit cards. I sent 3 letters prior to my lawsuit, he decided to go to court instead of installing the $90 part it needed all along.
The orig 1966 Paint is all faded and interior was soaked. I was told on a voice mail message. "we don't provide car covers" THANK YOU OMAR! Great Job!

What happened Joey? Did you get a job, go to jail for molesting or did you just run out of things to say about how people have cars repaired? Seems like you had plenty to say before although you didnt have the first clue of any actual customer facts. Youre a real pile of s**t, but again, I can't be the first to tell you that.
And you, "O'mar" you beared clam, don't think for 1 second this court case is over. Oh, as it turns out, I WAS RIGHT all along...... it WAS the alternator. P.S. if you we're so sure I was so wrong via the last court case why did you admit to changing the bushings in the part? I thought it was good and I needed the harness?
Hope the fabulous economey is helping your overpriced shop stay afloat & I hope you get your $20.00 wheels back that were stolen you we're crying about when I first dropped off my VW.
People usually get what they deserve- maybe Karma was giving me a head start on you.

....sorry to break it to you nitwits, but the finest, most lucid post was from Hans Imports. Best spelling, syntax, paragraph placement, and most importantly, THE ONE THAT MADE THE MOST SENSE. Sort of negated the points made by the O.P. and his yappy ankle-biters.

Way to be on top of your game and paying attention to who you are posting to. Last time I checked I was posting on ripoff report. At no time have I ever tried to contact you. You might receive an email but it has never been from me. By the way you might want go back and read some of the post you wrote about me. For example like the time you offered to pay someone to give you my phone #. Sounds to me like you are the one trying to contact me.

The VW has been at a professional body shop getting repainted. Its been a long process to match the cool old style green "chunky" or metal flake paint. I also sent the roll bar and headlights out to get re-chromed. Its just about done now.
Another shop fixed the charging system. Like I said all along, it just needed an alternator... so all that money was wasted.
So yes Omar, your still getting sued. I can't file suit for the engine/mechanical items becuase of RI court laws.
However, I've now obtained 15 photo's of the VW that was posted on e-bay when I purchased it and proof of purchase date. The photos are very high pixel quality and shows one sweet VW. I then had the body shop take the "after" pictures. The difference is more than clear, right down to the rusty steering wheel bolts which werent rusty prior.
Im filing simply for the (body only) which will not be the so called "double jeopardy"
Im also filing in Providence this time so Im not stuck with some feelings about the Warwick system again. Im hoping for more of a "Judge Judy" style Judge- Even if its a man, just someone who has a stong sense of fairness.

Danyale you are to funny. I could post anything on here and you would respond. I am beginning to think you look forward to me posting on here. So you never said when it is that you go to court. Is it because you don't want people to know the outcome incase you lose? It would be a shame if you went through all this trouble and then didn't report the final outcome. About your last post I have to ask what it was that I repeated about myself? I only remember reading things YOU said. Check your facts. Everything I wrote was what you wrote.

Holy smokes somebody else besides myself has posted on this subject!! Maybe I should think like you and say that you and Eugene are the same person. After all that is what you accused me of right? First you said I was a lawyer, then a guy who only posts every three years, then you claimed I was Omar's wife. Am I wrong yet? How ironic is it that Eugene just happened to come along and read all of our back and forth garb and decide to post his own opinion? I mean we only have a months worth of posting between us. That is a lot of reading. I guess you think that Eugene is also a loser for reading ripoff report now right? After all that is what you said about me right? I am sure you think Eugene is a stand up guy because he agrees with you right? Just a little advice Eugene if you say something he doesn't like he will make empty threats about calling you and offer people money to find your phone number. He will also brag to you about the business that he has and about the house he sold. He does this to pump himself up and look tough on the computer. By the way Danny when am I going to get that phone call. If I give you my number will you pay pal me 100 dollars? Oh well just another empty threat by the D-Man.

Dan:
I totally agree with you. These people are supposed to be VW experts. They work on these cars all day long. They're supposed to know what they are doing. There for, they should be held to a higher standard of accountability than the customer. And for what you paid them you are entitled to solid results, not just the "ol' college try."
You paid good money to have your car fixed. They failed. Whatever happened to the idea of getting what you paid for? And believe me, it's happened to me also. Once paid to have a car pinstriped. The garage did a crappy job. When I complained I was told: "You can't always have things your way."
My response:
"IF I'M PAYING FOR IT I'LL d**n WELL HAVE IT MY WAY!!!"
Thing is, today I think too many "professionals" get their "degrees" off the back of a matchbook cover or a Sally Struthers correspondence course. About the only skill they master is how to double-talk a customer when they mess up.
Good luck in court, my friend. And please don't engage in any more sparring. Joe is only here to push your buttons. He's a baby. Don't put yourself on his level. In, fact, in the future if you have to make a point with him, do not do it directly. Refer to him in the third person, as if he were a stick of furniture. And keep me posted on how everything turns out.

Well, now as the final point....we all know how much of a coward you are. And Nope, Omar WILL NOT make a fool out of me in court. Nor did he last time. I did however "enjoey" ooops, "enjoy" making my final point of how much of a coward and a bozo you are.
"Oh Noooo" he's going to contact me face to face...ohhh noooo!
Feels good to prove my final point. Do you have anything left? I'll be glad to tackle that was well.
You know Joey, there are pills and pumps that might help your problem.
Don't worry about any "hit" coward boy. Im sure someone who was going to do that would just smile & maybe send a nice bottle of wine, not chit chat. I wouldnt know about that. Im simply a stupid consumer who didnt do his homework on the shop remember?

Well It has been 4 days now and I still haven't heard from you. I guess everything you say is hot air. Who knows what you will post next. I am guessing it will be something about you winning the title of Mister Tough Man of Rhode Island.
I hope Omar makes you look like a fool in court. I am also sure that your next move will be to sue him in Federal Court and when that doesn't go your way you will try and take it to the Supreme Court. I am sure I will hear about you on the news as some goof who can't accept the fact that he lost because James Bulger told him to never accept failure.
By the way you probably shouldn't associate yourself with someone who is on the FBI Ten Most Wanted it might get you in a little hot water. Of course I am sure you have never met the man you claim was like an Uncle to you. It is just something else you write to make yourself look tougher than you really are.

You know Danyale I am beginning to wonder if you are trying to hit on me. I mean first you say that you wish I was sitting in a bar next to you. Then you brag to me about how much money you make. You brag about the house you sold and how much you got for it. You brag about all the businesses you own. You invite me to come across the country to see you and now you are trying to find my phone number so you can call and talk to me??? Sounds like either love or a stalker to me. I can't understand for the life of me why you are calling me a loser when you are the one obsessed with trying to find me? I mean offering people money to find me?? Sounds pretty pathetic to me. Once again you say you were told not to talk about the shop and then in you last post by the forth sentence you were talking about Omar's shop. Your going to get into trouble Danyale. Look if you are so sure you have an air tight case then you wont have a problem keeping this site updated after the trial. As far as you making the comment about me being featured on Dateline and being a child molester. I am not even going to comment on that. It shows how immature you are when you bring child abuse into your comments. That's not even something I would do. You should feel proud TOUGH GUY

As Dr Evil would say to a stupid comment.....riiiigghttt' I was told not to comment on the shop. My comments are now directed towards you. The reason why you didnt find anything about Omars prior shop is because it was a tiny hole in the wall and most customers will bite the bullet and don't have any experience to back up whats right and wrong. Plus, the shop sounded pretty good prior to him buying it a few months ago, so what would you find?
As far as my guessing on who was posting- I just find it so hard to believe someone could be such a LOSER. (Thats why I was questioning it)
You've already been proven wrong on every aspect, now it arguement is down to "I said I wouldnt type more" Yeah, another good one. Looks mighty similar to your other posts.
Oh, with me in a trailer.....riiiighttt' I own 3 businesses, one being a night time heating oil division open 11pm to 4am- the ONLY one in the State who offers that. making my competition (zero) against about 127 bigger companies.
My answering service e-mails me the orders- So when I hear the "bling" I think its an order, but its just you, the loser.
Seeing how you've confirmed you (are in) California and tonights a slow night, I think I'll start my search for a Joey C. in Woodland. There can't be more than 25 at the most. Lets see how tough you are over the phone. Hide when it rings Joe Hide- show us your true colors.
Your the type of person people laugh at getting caught by Chris Hanson on dateline NBC trying to meet a 13 year old girl.....trying to talk his foolish way out (like you do here)-
****I'll post back here to anyone reading if I cant find the number****
But I'll paypal 100 bucks to anyone who gets it for me first. Just post the whitepages reverse (or other findings) less the finish info and I'll buy it. Its not illegal seeing how he contacted me first, and I havent been told not to. I'll post the call on youtube if he answers & its funny enough when he craps himself. Oh ya, look for Hans Imports or Omars garage, or just VW dune buggy on you tube in the spring for my new video Im posting of the super work that was performed. Its just another gift to Joey. Im sure Omar will thank him?....Yikes...

You are to funny Danyale. First you question if I am really from California. Then you question if I am a lawyer working for Omar. Then you think I am a poster who changes my name and only posts a comment every 3 years. Then to top it all off you thought I might be Omar's wife? Dude you must be really paranoid. What happened to not talking to me anymore? What happen to the line, "This HAS to be my last response because my attorney said to zip it on the last phone call"? Was that a lie? All the questions I have asked you about the problems you had with Omar and his garage have been legit. I can't help it if you have side stepped every one and made up some excuse as to why it is only Omar's fault. Danyale read my last post and you will see that I said that if what you said about Omar is true then you should win. I find it funny that you think you need to brag about yourself on here to me. The way I figure it is that if you have to brag about it then it's probably not true. Once again you mentioned that others think the way that you do. I have to ask again just who are these other people that you speak of? I just check and nobody other than Omar has posted on this site. Are you sitting up all night in your trailer and crying in the chat rooms about your problems? And to think you call me a loser. Once again Danyale if what you say is true then you should have no trouble winning. That is why I asked you to post an update on here as to what happened. As far as you wanting me to come to your house, we both know that isn't going to happen. That is the only reason you would write something like that. If you knew it was a possibility then you wouldn't have wrote it and we both know that.

Hey Joey, I have few weaknesses in life. But between my first 106 lb girlfriend in High School with a 32GG chest and your stupidity, both seem so tough to resist. So NOW you've just ""gotta know"" what Im after?? Why?? you seem so (EXTRA concerned) How come?? You must be quite the humanitarian? Heeheaaa.
As far as what Im after......Its gotta be my Marine sniper pride my ol' pal. And I'll keep it. As the basic daily thoughts went. The enemy may win, but only after they pry the cold hard M16 out of my dead hands... but good luck trying.
Look at how wimpy America has tuned out to be when you've customers have been screwed. Im still fairly young, but old enough to see the new production of the new ""men"" like you. Big wimp with a small p***s. I'll drop the whole case if you muster up the sack to come to my house and say the exact same things you've said online- Deal?? I bet not.... I'm serious too. But I also bet You've got an ""online comment"" right?
I'm pretty d**n good at figuring out the true angles of things, If it wasnt for your previous posts, I'd say you were Omars wife, but adding the old posts I found to the equation, but then adding the (super interest in the case) of what Im "after" its a 70/30% toss up in my mind. It just could be my 3rd post thought that your simply just the biggest loser in CA. Its pretty clear others think so too.
See ya jowwwee- ya goof I'll be sure to call you right away when my second case is over, because you'll be the first person on my mind while I grin on the way home.......HA~~!!!! I think its time for you to pick another case out of the 247,889 cases here?

Why did I "fall" for it?
(Again)for the 5th time.... Its because Hans Imports were supposed to be "VW experts". Not many knew this place was now Omars garage and not Hans Imports. I've never owned an old VW prior, but the basic automotive physics reamin the same. See, (at first) Omar wasnt really lying, nobody would upsell an entire wiring harness unless they were painfully slow at the shop. The main person who worked on it is just under qualified, and the shop tried to back up those under qualifications later. Shops who are "full scammers" would be more prone to selling you a B.S. allignment or unneeded brake jobs, things like that.
Where the lies and excuses came in is when this harness and work didnt fix a d**n thing. He tried to tell me & the Judge some sorry a*s story that the old harness needed replacement due to electrical backfeed or some lame thing like that. Again, thinking these guys were the supposed Volkswagon geniuses (and my VW was suposed to be safe and dry) I listened to them. Then telling me 3 months later......ummm, the alternator isnt charging.
WELL "GEEEEEE WHIZZZZZ" wouldnt that have been a good place to start ""FIRST""??? Then..... the battle began- not because they messed up, but becuase they expected me to pay not only the bill, but another 500.00 or so...(in cash) for the screw up......or, they were holding my car until I TOW IT AWAY!...Thats fair? So I guess your point is still "stupid me" right? I guess thats still the point? & you also didnt listen when I said ......."so what" I worked on cars? Thats not the point. Isnt that what shops are for? To first fully diagnose, then FIX the car?
If they (even for 1 second) told me the alternator wasnt charging prior to the new harness I would have stood more than 100% firm on telling them to (START THERE)- I NEVER, NEVER- would have purchased a new harness if I knew that the alternator was dead the whole friggin time. Thats why I asked them all those times---- "DID YOU CHECK THAT"?? ----- ARE YOU SURE?? ---- ARE YOU TOTALLY POSITIVE ITS CHARGING?????
Each time the answer was : "YUP", "YES", "YEAH"
Im bringing 3-4 people in addition to my Attorney for the next court date. One being an electrical engineer. In small claims (where we were before) the laws are very limited. (they like to keep it simple and fast) The new case in Distict Court will allow much more. Omar can expect to be sitting on that stand for at least and hour. We are also issuing a court subpoena for his service writter Harvey. Im licking my chops for that one. I don't mind revealing that because Harvey left over 7 voice mails that proves everything we need out of him anyway so I hope he says otherwise. We may even now skip district court and go for even more.....he's undecided. In fact, this HAS to be my last response becuase my Attorney said to zip it on the last phone call. I just couldnt resist one last one- Your tough to teach, or just thick. If you still don't understand you must be beyond stupid. Either way I no longer care...I guess its your problem. Thanks for the practice for the trial~!

Danyale you need to go back and read my post titled "Last Post". If you read the first sentence you will note that I am referring to my last post and not saying that it was my last post. Good try though. I have never stated that what Omar did was right. What I am stating is that you are also not in the right in my opinion. You claim to have all this knowledge in the auto repair buisness and even stated that when a repair shop calls and sells you several items to fix the same problem it is b.s. 90% of the time. You also claim to be able to list reasons as to why this happens. Well if that is the case first of all lets hear them and second why did you fall for what you call Omars lies?

Danyale how dumb are you? If you read the first sentence of the post I made titled "Last Post" you will clearly see I was referring to the last post I made. I guess for a simpleton like yourself I could see where you would be confused.
You know what your problem is? You are an idiot. I never said that what this place did was right. I have said all along that they took you for a ride. I also said that if you would have had the stones to stand up and say stop or no that this could have been prevented. It's funny on the post you made on 12/28/07 you state "When a shop calls and sells you several items to fix the same problem it's b.s. 90% of the time." You go on to say that you can list the reasons they do this. Well if you already knew this why did you keep saying yes? I will tell you why you didn't say no. You didn't have the stones to say no. I am guess you figured this out during this experience.
It's funny how you just now remembered to mention the part about how this place drilled sheet metal screws all over the body. It's funny that in the almost 3 weeks that we have been conversing you never mentioned this. I mean why didn't you mention this in your original post? I guess it must have slipped your mind. You should think about taking Ginkoba. In case you didn't know it is a natural supplement to help improve a persons memory.

What about you Joe? One of your actual posts was titled "Last post"
With mine, I was mainly talking about Omars failue to fix my problem and the fact its go to far into the depth past the point of "no fix". My experience makes no difference. What if I was a foot doctor? Would the near destruction of my vehicle still me by fault? At least I'd have plenty of business from broken toes from all the people who probably boot you in the a*s.
I didnt really loose the last one if you must know- (not thats any of your business either) Nor, did they really win. I was pretty much instructed by the Judge of what I needed. Its just as that law goes. And no Im not angry, you just can't take the overly blunt truth about yourself. I've actually enjoyed making you look like a fool and poking super sized holes in everything you say.
Do everyone a favor, never become a defense Attorney. But if it makes you feel better we can stick to your one last "broken record statement" that I didnt "do enough" to make sure this shop that I paid wasnt up to par......(a payment of nearly 50% of the vehicles actual value for a brake job and charging system non fix) thats sure a super arguement. I hope Omars Attorney uses that line!
Well, finally we've weeded out most of your points, I think we're almost there!!
***Oh, for anyone who actually still reading, I forgot to mention how Omars Garage drilled sheet metal screws all over the vehicles body to run the new wiring harness. They were drilled in non-stock locations and the wiring near the left rear wheel area looks like a rats nest. So, if I ever wanted to get this vehicle up to show car condition and enter it in shows I can shave points right off the bat*** I wouldnt have treated a 1987 Hyundai Excel the way this was treated- But again, nothing was done wrong according to Joey C. Its my fault becuase I only went to the extent of getting opinions of past customers, then called the shop every 3 days for 3 months, and even stopped by to ask "are you sure" this is the only cure? Then offering other theorys to the shop, such as my idea of splicing in just the bad areas of the orig harness, or the question I asked 11 times of "are you SURE the alternator isnt bad"?? Then being over assured each time I was wrong. But, Joey is so right....I should have done more.
I think you know how stupid you sound yourself Joey.....again, you just don't like being proven wrong. But keeps grasping at straws, each post sounds better. Maybe I should have dressed in a sharp suit when I dropped off the VW? Yeah, that must have been the problem. I think we finally pinned it down with that one. Thanks for your tips! But, just like the rest of the people who talk to you...you're now ignored! Good luck talking to yourself.

What's up Danyale? Happy New Year to you. As you can see I shall now refer to you as Danyale due to you acting like a little 3 year old girl. So you think using Craigslist is "research"? Gee how about next time you are looking for someone to fix your problems you use Wikipedia. They are probably more reliable than Craigslist.
As far as you saying you won't lose in court. Are you forgetting that you already lost the first time? I bet you are the type of person who is sue happy aren't you? Any time you don't get your way you sue. I really think you need to go and see a shrink.
Just reading your posts tells me that you are in need of some anger management or something. Look if you don't want to tell me where else you are posting that is fine. I will let that be your little secret. I am sure that the reason you don't share it is either you are lying or the people you are talking about are telling you the same thing I am telling you and you are embarrassed and mad.
You know what else is funny is a couple of posts ago (12/28) you said "From now on that's all I'm saying even less". Well if that is the case then why have you submitted two more posts then? I believe it goes back to the anger problem> You get so angry that you aren't getting the last word in that you can't control yourself. Once again you might want to think about anger management.

I am guessing you like the name Danny right? Well even if you don't I am still going to refer to you as such. Do you really expect people to believe that I am now changing my name and only posting every 3 1/2 years on this site? Come on Danny you can do better than that. Look the way I see it you are just as much a fraud as you say Omar is. The story you told about the old man and his Audi proves it. Are you going to tell me that if he wouldn't have stood up to you and the dealership you would have prevented him from driving away? Of course you would have let him drive away other wise you would have fixed it right in the first place.
Let me ask you a question. How much are you paying your lawyer? The reason I ask is because you already lost the first case and now you are going back for more? What happens if you loose this case also? I am willing to bet that you are going to be out a lot more than 2200 dollars. The money you are spending on lawyers you could be using to get your car fixed. I am sure you can find a good repair shop on CraigsList. As far as you not wanting do tell me where else you are posting that is fine. All that tells me is that you are probably lying about it anyway. I mean what do you have to loose by telling me?

No, my comments were funny & a perfect response to Omar. I only quickly read his comments. As far as a wheel seal, how would you know I messed it up? Wrong-- (again) & as far as leaving automotive....nope, I left because manufactures started included free maintenence and everyones pay was cut. You'll also notice I never said I was a vintage VW tech in addition to not having anytime. But ya ok hook on phonic "Joey" I had a leaking seal, which makes me a bad mechanic, and I found a supposed VW expert. I SEE WHERE THATS SO STUPID- !
You two are jusy dying to know about my other posts....find em' yourself! And oh, as far as your other posts... heres another where several people say the exact same things I do about you. 46315 See, on some of these you just took away the "Woodland" part. Or maybe theres another Joey C from CA that talks THE EXACT same way?
Heres a paste and click copy of just one comment of yours- and one just one response of many people on there. Well, I've gotta go figure out how I can be more of a fraud and get ripped off. You are so smart Joey, will you become everyones personal assistant so we can all have a flawless life? HAHAHAHA: Heres the post below...go ahead deny it! IDIOT!!!!!!!! HAHAA-

rude responses
Joey, if anyone was making a rude response it was you...I'm the consumer here making a complaint and you must be either part of the party that is trying to sue my wife or someone who just likes to argue.
I will make one last comment on this and then ignore you completely.
She bought the car in October with the first payment due on the 8th of November. She had the car a whopping 2 weeks when the engine blew up. She had the car towed back to the shop where they told her the 99 point inspection was never done on it because they hadn't seen it yet. The manager got upset that she complained about the car being advertised as inspected when it wasn't.
When she contacted the finance department to see about the payment that was due she was told that it could wait until she got the vehicle out of the shop since she was without a vehicle and couldn't get to work. She ended up in the hospital emergency room on the 17th of November right after she got the car back. Her bishop from church tried to make the payment for her but the manager refused it saying she was a week late and in default. When she got out of the hospital they repossessed the vehicle (the payment was 1 month late at that point)
We met at the end of November while she was in the hospital so there wasn't anything I could have done to help her. I did buy her a brand new car in February after we were married.
Regardless, it would have been illegal and stupid of them to charge her the full price for the car when they resold it for a $6,000 difference. Even then she should have only been responsible for the original price of the car as Arizona law states you only have to pay the principal off and not all of the interest that would have accumulated had you kept the car for the full life of the loan. That would have made the car worth about $6,000. The 300% interest they stacked on top to get the price up to $17,000 they don't get if they repossess it. Considering the fact they resold the car for $11,000 she shouldn't owe them anything.
Please continue with the personal attacks...I'm sure the editor won't mind you cluttering his website with your crap.

What's up Danny? I'm back again. After reading Omars response it's a wonder he doesn't report you on this site as a ripoff. You know what's really funny is the part where Omar tells how you wanted his place to fix the rear axle seals that you messed up. And you call your self a master tech. Well I now see why you are no longer in the auto repair business. I like how you left all that out in your original post. I understand though. You wouldn't want to make yourself look stupid so you fail to mention all your screw ups and then make up lies to make your self look like the innocent person. Well Danny, Omar has exposed you for what you really are. A FRAUD. I hope you keep getting your brains beat out in court to this man. By the way you never responded to my challenge of proving where else I had posted on this site besides the one I had mentioned. Came on Danny do your research. What are the report numbers? One more thing Danny you might want to practice what you preach and use that spell checker yourself. Hey Danny while I still have your attention I need to ask. you keep saying "everyone" agree's with you on this. How come I don't see any body posting on this site? I just checked and only you, Omar, and myself have responded to your post. Are you using more than one web site to cry on? If so what is the web address? I would love to read what "everyone" is saying.

"Now" he pops up once the other odd ball goes away. I didnt make up a thing. You should have fixed it, period. As far as your wife- she identified herself only as a "partner" thats it. She gave me an additude when she called & (I gave it back). Don't like insults against your family? I don't like someone stealing hundreds of dollars from my family, and thats the way I look at it, stealing. Maybe you don't, but I do.
Of course I was pissed off. Who wouldnt be? >> "Yeah Dan, you now owe me $2100+" Its still not fixed, but how far do you want us to go? Gee, how about "fix it"
You can make every excuse in the world but the bottom line is you failed. I would have taken that in far better stride than one excuse after another.
I'll tell you this too...(and Im working on an honest lead) When your Attorney disappeared for that 20 minutes while the Judge was off the bench he better pray he wasnt seen in or near the Magistrates office.
As far as the 4 month statement, I've already publicly admitted it was 3 (felt like 7) on that part I messed up, like you did.....
I also figured the vehicle would not be inside at all times, but as you must remember you assured me it would be covered, which it never was.
I've had comebacks myself in the automotive field, but guess who eats it? Not the customer. Im also smart enough to know when a shop calls and sells you several items to fix the same problem it's b.s. 90% of the time. I can list the reasons why they do that if anyones interested. Im sure almost nobody will read this far into any report anyway. See, its my legal right to squak as long as I tell the truth. Just like it was yours to try and overcharge me.
Even if I loose the next round again (which I wont) You'll probably have to spend $1100 or more fighting it. I did enjoy watching the time tick by in the court once I knew the Attorney was there.
Lastly, if your other shop was so great why not keep that name? or at least merge names? Again, the bottom line is simply that you didnt fix it and you came across someone who knows the automotive scam. Well, let me correct that- this wasnt quite a "scam" it was more of a mistake that you wont admit to. I can also tell you Harvey was approx 25% of this problem. He tells people what they want to hear so he can get off the phone. He doesnt handle stress well.
One area where I messed up big time in court is when I forgot to show the estimate you gave to the cop. then he gave to me. Its far less than what I paid and doesnt even come close to my bill. They are 2 totally different write up's.
This is gone WAY to far off track. Heres a perfect example. Once way back, I was trying to feed a Chinese man the same style b.s. after I had "Boo-Koo" hours into an Audi S8 and I didnt fix it..... and yup, (it sucks)
I still remember the guy because he wouldnt listen to my b.s.
His only response to me every time was : "You No Fix" and it was true.....he didnt need all the old parts I installed, it just the the next thing I found. The dealership made me take the other parts out and took back most of the hours I flagged. I was fairly new on Audi's at the time. Needless to say I climbed up the ranks on Audi and Volvo. Technicians NEVER seem to admit when they're wrong. And the worse the tech is, the better the excuses get. Your credibility is "nil" now anyway, now that you lied in court. I think that went right over her head when I brought that up. Anyway, as for here, Im not arguing with you or the mystery man. I can sum the entire story up with a few words, not 9 pages....Here it is. You told me what it needed, it didnt work, you then told me it needed more, it didnt work, you then told me it needed more, and it was the part I said it was all along? Was I supposed to be thrilled then, when I was overcharged, or when I found it rotting in the rain? You pick.
From now on thats all Im saying even less, like my old customer.

Here are the facts regarding Dan Flemings 66 Classic dune buggy convertible beetle
Towed in by AAA on August 20, 2007
Dan at that time mentioned that he had bought the vehicle from someone in Georgia off of E-Bay, and that he was thinking about suing that person because it was not in the condition that it was related to be in on the sellers' site
He had given us a list of items that he was interested in getting repaired;
Brake pedal going to the floor
Headlights, turn signals and taillights inoperative
Rear axle seals (he had attempted to perform this repair himself, and it still leaked, he had also replaced/repaired the rear brakes himself)
Oil change
Battery not being charged
We inspected and tested the vehicle for these problems and called him back with estimates. We gave him an estimate for the tie rod ends and other front end related repairs, which he declined. Although he states that the tie rod was supposed to be replaced in his posting this is a repair that we had recommended and he declined.
Dan also states that the vehicle was at my shop for four months; it came in on August 20, 2007, and left on November 7, 2007. For approximately to of the time his vehicle was inside when we could put it inside, when we could not, we did not. At no time did we tell Dan that his vehicle would be inside the entire time. Dan was supposed to pick the vehicle up in October, which he did not because he was trying to find a friend who could come down with the cash and the tow truck to get the vehicle because he did not feel comfortable being around me. He was supposed to call ahead of time to let us know when he was sending someone to get it. He just showed up on November 7, 2007 at lunch break without any prior notice. We started the car right up and backed it into a spot where the tow truck driver could get it.
Dan started the car, checked the lights and horn, etc., and came back in and wanted me to verify that the turn signals and horn were inoperative. The turn signals and lights all were working, and the horn worked but sound sick, because it needs a new horn, we never told Dan that we were installing a new horn
We did keep in contact with Dan to let him know where we were and where we had to go and how and why. All of our conversations with Dan took the tone that he has in his postings on this site, a rather difficult person to deal with.
On another note, I am note sure why he is attacking my wife and stating that she looks like a heroin addict. My wife is an extremely attractive, classy and very gentle LADY!
If you have comments about the repair, or the shop, or the way things went and were handled, that is all fine and good, but to attack my wife is inexcusable. Attacks on me, or my business (if true, which these are not) are fair game, but not my family.
We did go to court, and I did win. Dan is a sore loser, who did not present his case to the satisfaction of the judge, and has now threatened to take me to court again, this time as a civil case.
Dan does not seem to have a very good grasp on the facts, or he is just trying to spin the story in his favor.
Our original estimate for Dan was approximately $760.00 to replace the front brake shoes, hardware, wheel bearings and seals, replace the main brake line from the brake master cylinder to the rear brake line junction, replace the rear axle seals (that he had ATTEMPTED to replace and performed improperly), machine the front drums (he has a complaint about a brake pulsation, that is probably related to the rear drums that in his letter to me he stated that he turned down the high spots, kind of hard to do without a brake lathe), bleed the hydraulic system and adjust the brake shoe drag to achieve a firm high brake pedal, which we accomplished.
We also told Dan to initially start on repairing the electrical issues would be approximately $350.00. After we were into the wiring repairs and testing, we found that several wires were cut, bare, misrouted, etc., which it would be better to just replace the wiring harness and that replacing the harness would address the majority of the electrical issues.
We charged him $104.00 for this portion of the repair. At no time did I guarantee that the harness would correct all of his issues. We quoted Dan approximately $1000.00 for the parts and labor to replace the wiring harness.
Dan authorized the wiring harness repair over the phone. In court he admitted to authorizing the repairs, and then in the same breath he tried to say that he did not sign the estimates for the authorization. Where I come from, if you verbally authorize a repair, it has been authorized and you can proceed forward with the repairs.
When the vehicle left our shop, all of the electrical items were operating except for the charging system. We did replace the brushes in an effort to get the generator to work, and it helped it to charge intermittently, where as when the vehicle came in it was not charging at all. Dan wanted me to put a new generator in his vehicle at no charge, knowing full well that the engine has to be removed to get the fan shroud off to remove and replace the generator. According to Dan this is a 45 minute repair, which it is not. This vehicle is a modified beetle chassis and there is not any access to the top of the engine like on a beetle by opening the hood, there is an access plate where the license plate mounts, but that is it.
In relation to the police being called; Dan called them in an effort to have the police tell me to take his check or debit card, which I did not feel comfortable doing as he had already become a problem client with various threats about how he was going to smear my name and my shops name on the internet as well as suing me in court. I felt that I would rather have cash in hand, and I am glad I did, rather than have to take him to court to chase down the money.
Dan left several messages on my answering machine that were not very nice and very rude. After my wife called him to try and resolve the issue, he left a message on her answering machine at work that I must be a criminal for using my middle name, Omar, instead of my first name, Fulton. I have always gone by Omar my whole life. As far as riding on the previous owners, Hans, coattails, I already had a thriving business in Wakefield under Omar's Automotive Repair for 15 years before buying Hans Imports. The reason I bought Hans Imports is that it was for sale, there was not any properly zoned commercial property available for automotive repair at a reasonable price in the Wakefield area, and Hans himself felt very comfortable selling the business and the property to me and that I would continue his good name. He has told me personally that my buying his business has actually enhanced his name and image.
So, Dan is going through with his campaign to smear my name and my business, but hopefully everyone who reads his posts and my posts will be able to determine who the rational honest person in this fiasco is and who is not.
I am very confidant that this will probably incite a whole new round of Dans VITRIOL.
I will post further items as called for, such as copies of the original invoices and estimates, as well as the letters that Dan has sent to the shop, if others are interested.
Thank you,

Not only are you a fool, but a liar as well......only one ha? what about all the car lot posts you put up & to the single parents #292427 - ring a bell? As far as not have having the balls, too funny. I called them every few days to be sure they were chipping away. As we all can see you have nothing else to say & have been proven more than wrong every time you open your mouth. You go beyond stupid. Its to the point where all I do is laugh. Its also funny you seem to "skip" over the all the things where you look extra dumb and start talking about the shop again.
Were you raped at a shop, or once sued and ordered to pay someone back all the money your robbed from them? Now you thrive on making stupid points to make yourself feel better and a know it all? Somethings wrong with you! As for just the post # you pointed out, I think I'll do what one woman said and just ignore you. Im glad everyone else seems to agree.
P.S. You have MORE misspellings on that last one. You might really need "Hook on Phonics" - You could also paste and copy the post to (microsoft word) let it correct it for you & then paste and copy it back to this site.
Thanks for the laughs!

Well Dan I see that you are now making up lies about me. I have only responded to one other post on this web site and it was report # 292427 and if you took the time to read it you would see that I sided with the person who submitted the post. I challenge you to show me or anybody else where else I have posted on this site.
In one of your latest rants to me you say that you never authorized the bill but if you look at your original post you will read where you say they sold you part after part. Sounds to me like you were paying so I would take that as authorizing. You also say that you did your homework by posting an ad on Craigslist? How did that work out for ya smart guy?? I would say you get an "F" on that piece of homework.
As far as my "theory" about the lift. Well I never said you didn't do the brakes. All I states was that you didn't need a lift to change the brakes. I have no clue why you keep harping on that. I have never stated that I am taking the side of the repair shop. I am guessing being around that heating oil is messing with your short term memory because if you go back to one of my prior posts I stated that this place did take you for a ride. I also stated you let it happen by leaving the car there so long and not having the balls to tell them no when they wanted to make repairs that you didn't want done. As far as me being a avid readed of this site well the truth is I work overnight with little to do so I surf the web. I came upon this site and found it interesting all the a** clowns such as your self who cry and b***h about places riping them off but yet they either caused it or could have prevented it. Have you never paid attention to what time I post these? As far as you loving to have me sitting next to you in a bar I don't think so Dan I am not attracted to men better luck next time with somebody else though.

My spelling is just fine when I take time to look it over...In your case, its NOT worth the time!. But, I do love to blow away your stupid points you "try" to make.. My point about the house is that Im (not) an idiot (like you) think of your own words, not what I've called you on the last 4 posts.... Its about getting ripped off, not money, thats the point. Also, a bit of a slam- like the fact Im probably doing better than you.
Ok, more holes to poke at your points/guesswork. I did do my homework. In fact, I even posted an ad on craigslist looking to see who's the BEST for vintage VW's.
I was told it was Han's mports, but, unfortunatly...as I've said, Han's Imports is really "Omars garage" just riding on the coat tails of the old good name....but, (not for long) I had no way of knowing that business was sold just weeks prior to my visit seeing how I've never owned a VW before and I had never been there, nor did the 3 people who said Hans was pretty good. --> (but they know now) As far as buying he car and not "knowing better" well, thats the chance you take on the internet I guess. I guy said it needed some work & it needed what he "guessed it was" in the long run. Maybe just a touch more work- But, he wasnt a mechanic. As far as paying to much- only by a few hundred. Im sure you paid to much for the toilet on four wheels you drive too. But NOW I paid to much, seeing how I paid an extar $2100.00 and have a worse of a car than I did before I spent $2100.00- Hey who knows, maybe this freshly rusty chrome, wet interior, and faded paint will help it gain value? Ok, next one.... (hourly rate/price)
The first thing I tried to find out (once the car was there) was zero in on the price (TO GET IT FIXED)+ I NEVER authorized this bill. I certainly would have authorized a dime if I knew what was going to happen at the end. Such as that small little part of not fixing it and ruining my car.
As for the lift....going to have to bust that theory too. As you see I DID DO THE BRAKES...& MY SIDE CAME OUT PERFECT- But, I ran out of time for the fronts.. GET IT YET?
You say nobody cares, well, they care much less about you and your stupid pondering thougts. And as I orig thought, your not just a ripoffreport "onlooker". Seem to be sticking up pretty hard for the short comings of Omars garage- Gee, I wonder why?
And oh, as far as my 90% customer "stay rate" - the 10% only shops around for the lowest price, not service- but they try to crawl back when if system fails.
And lastly, the mob? no...just prime examples that some people arent internet wimps- (such as you) How would you be so quick to recognize that name? Hummmm...he's not so well known in CA- Gee Joey...you would be lying by any chance would you? lol

Well Dan if you would have taken the time to read my last post you would see that I was refering to not needing a lift to change the brakes. I made no mention to using jack stands to change the alternator. You know you should try hook on phonics. You would be able to read better and spell better as well. After reading your last post I have to ask if you are claiming affiliation to the mob? You "claim" Whitey Bulger was like an uncle to you as a kid and that you were with the fighting Irish so I was just wondering. I don't know why you think you need to brag to me about all the money you make or how much you sold your house for. It makes you sound like an idiot Dan. Nobody cares! You also say that you rarely mess up but from reading your post you only have a 90% sastifaction rate which I will admit is good but I am sure you could do better. Another example of you messing up is buying a car that was in bad shape to begin with or how about the fact that you took it to a shop and left it there even though you had reservations about the place and what they charged per hour. Pretty dumb if you ask me. Way to do your homework when it comes to taking your vintage car to a dealership without knowing what the place was all about.

Your a complete idiot. The engine has to be removed to do these older VW alternator. When I jack it up will you hold it up and slide it our for me...(while on your back) seeing how I don't need a lift? People have contacted me via other sites where I posted this- (all agree) So OK there Joey C.... Yeah its my fault the shop cant fix anything, nor step up to the plate when they mess up. As for the brakes....I did the rears myself, making an absolute perfect machined cut on my friends shop in MA w/ a commercial brake lathe made just for drums. I also replaced the all rear brake parts, including springs.
See, for the 14th time I was busy running a booming heating oil company I started myself 5 years ago. I have well over 1000 customers I juggle by myself. I also have a 90%+ repeat customers because I do the right thing if I ever mess up, which I rarely do. I also don't treat the customers like they're stupid, especially whne they fork over hundreds or thousands of dollars....(makes all the difference)
See, I make much more per day than you think & this time (being so busy) it wasnt cost effective to do the job myself- I don't need the money, I sold a $780,000 home which was paid off by age 29 to start my company....now Im looking at homes 2x's that.
THE POINT IS- ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY------THE POINT IS IM NOT GETTING SCREWED & THEN TOLD "TOO BAD". I learned that in South Boston my whole life with the fighting Irish I guess. See, James, or Whitey Bulger was the same way. Sort of a smart big Uncle figure to me as a kid..... Super nice guy, until double crossed- or at least thats what we remember.
Thank God most people will loose interest on this Blog by the 3rd post.
Anything else I can clear up for ya? A honest percentage of internet guys like you are keyboard big mouths are about 96% Then, you have people like me who is glad to say it to your face and ready to stand for what I say.
Let me know when you can hold that motor up while I pry it away from the transmission.... Thanks

You sure do seem like an angry person. I have some experience in auto repair at least enough that if I know how to fix something I don't take it to a shop and pay somebody else to do it. It's funny you mention other people emailing you and telling you that they agree with you but when I look here at this web site I am the only person to respond to your post. You make excuses about why you couldn't do the work yourself like not having a lift. Last time I checked a lift wasn't needed to change the brakes on a car just a floor jack and some jack stands am I right? Sounds to me either you really don't know what you are doing when it comes to working on cars or you are to lazy. In your original post you state that you were a master tech right? So why is it that you are not in this line of work anymore??
If this vintage car is so important to you one would think that you would make sure that it was covered and not rely on someone else to do it.
"Dan" I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year

Well, more of a tech than your or him combined. I've been e-mailed by people who know about this, and we all think Im right & you know the owner, are the owner etc...or possibly, just a complete LOSER who reads the ripoff report as reading material.
What about your orig claim that "it was o.k." and MY fault to leave the VW outside in the rain... is that still my fault? or did we get that cleared up? How about them blowing off my steering repairs when I was told that was included in the price?
How about them jacking up the price on the last day without my notice by 30%...is that ok? (I've recently found out that's illegal in RI) I have the statute #-
How about (again) their claims close to a dozen times that not only would the harness fix my charging system, it would fix everything....in which as we all now know, it fixed nothing.... Do you remember I said that it "is posible" a bad harness could create a bad ground, hence giving a bad alt reading? So yup, its my fault for taking their word for it.......next time I'll tow my massive toolbox to the shop so I can do my own 3rd re-check diagnoses, then tow it back home.
See most shops, (or all shops) who will stay open anyway, would keep going and fix what they promised at their expense- this is why you don't hear of this problem often.
Oh, how about them installing front brakes and once I find out theres a brake pulsation after 25 mph, they blame me? Funny, they didnt mention it still had brake problems when I was towing the d**n thing back home, but I was sure charged in full for it.... Im sure thats just dandy with you also.
Wow, I should open a shop myself and wish for customers like you.
I guess I also failed to mention that I had just purchased this vehicle, it wasnt something I had been poking around with for weeks on end.....like I said (several times) I was to busy to do my own work this time- nor do I have a lift. If I fixed it, it would be fixed-
Funny nobody else agrees with you! The court simply needs cut and dry proof by another shop, and the Judge mentioned how unfair this is.
Then, the court Sheriff came up to me (while still in the courtroom) and said "wow, I cant believe the shop is even allowed to work on cars without being certified" (because I busted him flat out on that lie of being a A.S.E. Tech, if you remember) Next round, more lies will be proven.
P.S. You sound like a d**n fool - But thank you for keeping his name bumped right up on top of search engines with each follow up post.
What is your automotive experence that makes your opinion so great? Being a customer thats been screwed his whole life? Im going to ask ripoffreport if they will give me your IP address origin. Ok "Joey C"

Now for the record let me see if I have your story straight. You told Hans what you wanted fixed. Hans told you he wanted to try some other things first even though what he wanted to do was nowhere what you asked him to do because you were sure what the problem was because you are a Master Tech and know what you are talking about.
Due to the fact that you couldn't tell Hans all you wanted was what you asked in the first place he continued to replace other parts and now you want to sue him. From what you have posted on here I would have to say that you are at fault due to the fact that you authorized him to do all the things. Like I said before if you would have stood up for yourself and said no to the man you wouldn't be in this postion. It sounds to me like you are not quite the "master tech" you claim to be.

Im calm...I guess you just cant read? To answer another question....yes Im pissed at myself- just further proof never trust many shops. As I said, I now own a business (other than automotive) and work lots of hours.
I decided to "treat myself" so to speak on this repair as a time saver.
As for tools, I have more than enough. Im in the process of looking for another home and right now I don't have a garage or acess to a car lift.
Yes, so what I authorized the repair? What part of the broken promise dont you understand? And again, I CAN fix this myself, but now I have point to prove with this shop, and the court needs proof it of what the problem was.
They had this friggin thing for weeks on end, so my mistake was putting faith in the shops word. I don't have a crystal ball to see if a shop is incorrect...only had my hunch this time-
For the 4th time, I figured this was a "VW shop"....I fixed Volvos and race 1/4 mile cars.
I NEVER would have taken it there if I knew the shop was just sold to this Bozo. I even went to the extent of stopping by to question the repair- He looked me straight in the eye and said it was the only option, after the 101 questions I asked prior to that. He seemed believeable.
Then, when nothing was fixed Im told I owe $2100.00 bucks and to pound sand & tow it home??
I hope someday you see a hospital surgeon and he cuts your leg off instead of your arm....then they say, look pal, you said we could operate, you should have known better buddy- Now, please pay 20K or we have to handcuff you here to the bed.

Look Dan I am not an attorney and I am from California so just calm down. I scroll through the reports on this site trying to avoid these places that people say will rip others off and your post caught my eye simple as that. If you think I sounded like a lawyer I am sorry for your confussion but like I said I couldn't understand why it is that you were so upset at this place.
You told them what you wanted done and when they came to you wanting to do other than what you asked you didn't man up and say no. You authorized all the work done by this place that added up to over $2,000 did you not? You claim in your original post that were a master auto tech correct? Well if that is the case I am wondering why you would take it to someone else to have it repaired. Did you not have the tools to do the job or someplace to do the work?
It seems to me you are going through a lot of headaches over this alternator. If I was a plumber and needed a pipe replaced under my kitcher sink I wouldn't call another plumber and pay him the money to do something I already knew how to do. Look it does sound like this place took you for a ride I will agree but like I said you let it happen by authorizing the work performed correct? One last question I have is have you gotten the car running yet?

So California man (literally across the other end of the America) what made you "stumble" across "Hans Imports" of our mini 1/16th of a State?
Funny those questions sounded an awful like the red faced Attorney the shop had. Got any other questions I can clear up for ya? Just because I know you were concerned 2200 miles away, so I just wanted to make sure.
I'm going to make such a stink about this that if "Omar" is asked who I am when he's 97 he'll remember me...the pain in the a*s he screwed. (me)
Next time FIX THE FRIGGIN CAR-! Your to used to clueless VW customers who belive your B.S.
At least I know if I go back to a highline dealership and see the court Magistrates or "Judges" name....I know I can get away with not fixing the car if she says "go ahead" with ANY repair. I hope she brings her tow card & cash....but wait, oop's...Oh ya....Dealerships cover their mistakes, Hans Imports doesnt.
IRS Cash expense report has been sent "OMAR" hope it all went into the bank!
Im sure the orig Hans would be so proud- good luck w/ the new shop Fulton. I'll tell anyone who will listen to me about your shop. In a State the size of my oil truck & friends in every area of the auto biz it should help you.

I don't know why my past experience really comes into play....I was working 14+ hour days with my own business. Yes, I thoght it was the alternator, and its still the problem. I put faith in the shops word, plain and simple. They went on and on about the fact I was WRONG about my diagnoses, and seeing how they had it all that time and "specialized" in VW's (or I thought they did) I figured they knew what was going on. It IS possible that a bad wiring harness could create a bad ground, hence giving a bad reading.
I also questioned several times about "other options" like splicing in new wires only in the supposed bad areas. I as assured that wouldnt work- I was also assured this harness would fix my problem along with other things which were inop....like the horn, blinkers, lights, etc....I decided to bite the bullett and go for it seeing how the harness was supposed to fix not only my charging system, but these other things which seemed sort of like a bonus. I was also quote NOT $2100, but $1800 for everything, which also included an outer tie rod which was never touched. So, yes...trial and error.... What the shop SHOULD have done "if they were smart" was just do the alternator, and never tell me about the mistake....but again, I was told, thats a "lot of work" So, how is this my fault again??
Im double screwed for now because I wanted to fix the d**n thing myself (and believe me I could) but the courts need verification in writing from another shop stating whats really wrong.

So I'm glad me being from California is funny to you. I still can't figure out why it is that if you were so sure that it was the alternator that was causing the problem why you would buy items you were sure were not the problem. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't you authorize this shop to replace the wiring harness? If this is correct then the only person you should be mad at is yourself.
When they told you they wanted to replace the harness you should have stood your ground and not authorized them to do the repairs. In your original post you say that you had to pay over $2,000 for their trial and error but you gave them the go ahead to do it and now you are mad?? Doesn't make sense to me but what do I know I am from California right?

California question ha? "strange".......You asked about the alternator. Good question....its what I suspected all along. However the shop stood super firm saying it was fine for the first 2+ months....Instead they sold me a wiring harness repair. When that didnt work, they sold me a complete, new wiring harness which cost well over $1000.00 Well, that didnt work either! In fact, as I proved, not one thing electrical item works on the car that didnt when it went it.
This harness was supposed to fix the problem of the battery not charging (which is what it mainly went in for) Again, they pretty much had a blank check to fix this vehicle. But, after laying $2100 bucks cash across the desk, the tow truck driver who towed it back home can tell you it wasnt driveable- (a tow which cost more cash)
They finally admitted the problem a bad alternator......
Omar knew he was about to get sued & I asked him when the tow truck was on the way "Omar (really its Fulton) You seriously will go the next extreme instead of simply replacing a $100.00 alternator?? His answer was this: Dan, its a lot of work to replace that part. I then said SO IS EARNING $2100.00 BUCKS FOR A REPAIR THAT DID NOTHING!!!
I was about to lose my temper so I sat in my truck and waited for the tow truck...
Ok as for the rain etc- When I took the vehicle to the shop I expected it to be worked on, "in the shop" for 3-5 days at the most. As the excuses went on, and much more time went by I told them about that concern. I was told twice it was covered with a tarp. I have a saved voicemail message of them saying that. After months went by and they told me it wasnt fixed I stopped by to find the VW a total mess OUTSIDE! After I flipped I was told "we dont provide covers Dan"
Gee, I know those darn two dollar covers can add up.
When I worked on the Volvo or Porsche dealer line & a customer came it with a stuck moonroof and we had to order parts, do you think we left it in the rain??!! Its the shops responsibility to try and protect the vehicle.
Harvey, the service writter even said on another voicemail "we dont cover cars" smart eh?
To correct the statement on my other update, that was supposed to say the cocky female assistant, wife or girlfriend looks like a typical heroin addict in my opinion, probably isnt but looks that way. She called me once with the same additude like I've done something wrong.
I wonder if Omar would part with the 100 bucks to fix his misdiagnoses if he could go back in time? I really dont think so-
Oh, the shop also charges $90.13 per hour for labor. Sound odd to anyone else? Thats more than most real dealerships!
Anyother questions?

To correct the statement on my other update, that was supposed to say the cocky female assistant, wife or girlfriend looks like a typical heroin addict in my opinion, probably isnt but looks that way. She called me once with the same additude like I've done something wrong.
I wonder if Omar would part with the 100 bucks to fix his misdiagnoses if he could go back in time? I really dont think so-
Oh, the shop also charges $90.13 per hour for labor. Sound odd to anyone else? Thats more than most real dealerships!
Anyother questions?

Good question...but California ha? Ok, when I first sent the VW to the shop I thought it was the Alternator. I also had a budget in mind. The shop never replaced the alternator, although thats the problem with the sytem not charging. The shop sold me a wiring harness after a failed first attempt to fix the old one. Well, the new harness in which they whacked me $$$$ hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars for DIDNT work either....in fact, nothing electricly in the cars works.
I must have questioned the shop a half dozen times about my serious doubts on this harness. They assured me it would iron out all my electric problems, including the charging system. Well, as the tow truck driver can tell you who towed my car back home after spending $2100.00 in CASH that the car wasnt driveable, more than around the block anyway....then you have to put the battery back on the charger.
As I picked up the VW I asked the shop owner (who knew he was about to get sued) - Omar, your ready and willing to go forward with a lawsuit "instead of" just putting in a $100.00 alternator? The answer I got was: Dan, thats a lot of work- I answered a LOT OF WORK?! I then said, SO ISN'T EARNING THE $2100 CASH I JUST GAVE YOU!
Finally, as far as the car being outside........When I first had it towed, I expected it to be there for 3-5 days (at the most) I also expected it to be pushed inside at night--- As much more time went by, I was assured the car was covered with a tarp. In fact I still have it on my voicemail. Come to find out it wasnt. When I flipped out I was then told
"We don't supply covers" Also, still on a voicemail from the service writter Harvey. I know how those two dollar tarps can add up!
Its the shops responsibility to try and protect the vehicle. For example, when I was on Volvo or Porsche line at dealerships & a car came in for a binding moonroof and a part had to be ordered- do you think we left it in the rain?
I wouldnt even dream of it!!!!
Any other questions?

My question is this. If you knew what the problem with the car was why did you keep paying for all the other parts? I wouldn't think that replacing a alternator would cost over $2,000 but I could be wrong. Another thing I question is why you didn't make sure the car was covered your self? Leaving it there as long as you did surely you had to know it was going to rain at some point.

I guess I can't go back for spelling corrections on the post...I did notice them now. So anyway, I guess Im entitled to nothing for my money? The problem here is I've been in the automotive business to long & know whats called a "comeback king" someone who is full of excuses instead of real repairs. It helps their ego I guess.
I wonder if the shop owner ever considered just fixing the problem on the vehicle instead of all this??>> as they pretty much did have blank check to do so!.....guess not- I was told fixing the real probelm (the altenator) was to much trouble, which was the problem I said it was from day one. "Yes sir, the altenator is charging fine" Then, 3 months later stating.......ummmm, how far do you want us to go with this?? it needs an alternator-
Another funny act his Attorney pulled was throwing the bag of parts on the Magistrate/Judges desk. I chuckled to myself at the OJ Simpson trail style "official" evidence bag. So what that wiring harness was replaced "Nat".....as proven, it didnt help the problem!
However Nat, I'll be sure not to move an inch from now on, just so my fairness won't be confused as an admission of guilt.
P.S. Nat Nazareth Law don't ever tell me to go fetch something downstairs like a drill instructor again. Gloves are off in court next round.

Went to court yesterday. This bum claimed he was a certified mechanic and purjured hiself in court. Turns out (after I asked) it was expired for nearly 10 years. As usual, he is registered as an INC, so he had to have his Attorney there. (Complete Bozo) I stayed straigt the entire time whle he tried to "hint" I was somehow makeing this up. I now need to verify what was actually wrong via another shop....even though I paid $2100 for repairs on a vehicle worth only 50% more. I guess Im entitled to nothing for 2100 bucks. The Judge asked us to work out the probelm in the hallway. I offered to SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE & they refused!! Nice shop!
Attorney Nat Nazerith of Warwick RI then walked back into court and then tried to tell the Judge my offer was some sort of guilt! Oh, that was AFTER he was sure I walked back into the court room first "holding the door for me" a*s!
LEARN HOW TO FIX A CAR OMAR! And teach that heroin looking assistant of yours some manners. This State is to small for this bad rep.
See you in civil court soon......I hope the tired Judge enjoyed her lunch at 12:01- Anyone here know what justice is? it's what the Judge had for breakfast- This time I'll have my ducks in a row...I assure all 3 of you that. Im sure that $2100 cash went into your account right?
