 I purchased an air compressor from Harbor Freight approximately one year ago (maybe less) to keep in the garage to air up the occasional low tire. It was important to me to buy from a local place in case there was a problem and I needed to return it. When I purchased the compressor the cashier entered all of my personal information into their computer so that if there was a problem with the compressor I could simply return it, show my drivers license, and they would have my warranty info right there on their computer. The compressor failed. It probably had no more than a total of 10 minutes run time altogether. I took it to the store I purchased it from. I could not locate the receipt before I went there, but fully expected for them to be able to find the purchase in their database, as they told me when I purchased it. They could not find me by name, phone number, or address. I have two floor jacks that I purchased from them about 6 months ago and they are not in their database either. They took my information down then as well. It's gone now. Make sure to keep your paperwork even if you are tempted to believe them when they say they keep your warranty info on their computer, because their system did not work in my case.
