Harbor Freight Repeated False Advertising / Consumer Fraud Pineville, NC, North Carolina
Harbor Freight publishes a weekly flyer in the Charlotte Observer (NC) with coupons and an offer for a free item such as flashlight, scissors or tape measure. The last three times I haste visited the store, they have been "out" of the promotional item and are not allowed to offer a substitute or raincheck. Occasional shortages are understandable but after three excuses, the ad constitutes false advertising and/or consumer fraud. The manager offers a customer service phone number where you are asked by a recording to leave a name and phone number and perhaps someone will call you, maybe from Beijing. For a do-it-yourselfer their all Chinese made products are value priced. If you're a Pro, stay away.

You would realize that it says "while supplies/quantities last" Unfortunately, most of these stores only get a set amount per week, and they are handed out on a first come first serve basis. My best advice to you would be to find out what night of the week they receive their truck and come the following day.
