Complaint Review: Hardwood Flooring Specialists Andrew Wood

Andrew/Andy Wood (Manchester) installed new laminate flooring in my home. 

It was bad enough when he consistently showed up late and left early, and the project took twice as long as it was supposed to.



My real issue happened after the project was complete.



I paid $300 to Mr. Wood to have him haul away the construction debris (old carpet and wood, all piled in my front yard.)  This was in my estimate and included in the cost of the project.  On his last day on the job, he removed a little of it but stated that he had no more room in his truck and would be back in the next couple of days to remove it.



That was over a month ago.  In the meantime, Mr. Wood consistently ignored my phone calls and emails, asking when he would be by to remove it.  He finally answered me once, stating that he was waiting to get a truck from a friend.  (Seriously, if you need a truck to run your "busines", you should not rely on borrowing one from someone else.)  Other than that, silence on his end.  Finally, in frustration, I gave him a deadline and warned him that I would have to take some action if the rubbish was not removed by that day.  The day came and went, nothing.  No responses to my emails or calls once again, either.



I finally hired someone else to haul away the debris.  I hired them in the morning and the debris was gone by that afternoon.  I am now out an additional $175.  Still no word from Andy Wood.  I want my $300 back.  I have filed a complaint with the BBB but sadly, I don't expect to ever hear from Mr. Wood again 



Stay away from this "company" at all costs.
