The $28,000, 2005 Harley Davidson that I never even sat on. Never rode. Never started. Still sitting with 0 Milles on it. Just sitting in the Baltimore Harley-Davidson DELERSHIP.

On April 15 2005 I decided to buy a new Harley Davidson motor cycle. I decided on the Dyna Wide Glide. (FXDWG model). I put a 500 dollars deposit and was told it will be in two weeks.

After a few weeks the bike arrived and was told it will take two more weeks to put it tougher. On May 27 2005 I received a call that the motor cycle was ready. When I arrived at the store I was taken in to the office where I paid for the bike. They had the hard tags all ready and they put the tags on the bike in show room floor where we did a walk around and found that the fuel gage I ordered was not working. The speed odometer was not working and to be sent back for a replacement.

They wanted me to take the bike, I refused and told them I will pick it up when the work was done. The major problem was that I ordered the Vance & Hines Part number 17911 Big shot Staggered from Harley to install on my bike as well, they were not on it. I did not notice it at first, I guess they were going to tell me about that after I left the store with the bike. On Jun 18 2005 I was told by Harley dealer by phone message, (I kept the message on my answering service), that the first set of V&H pipes did not fit and they had to order a 2nd set. The fuel gage was installed as well as the

A month later I got a call that the pipes were made wrong for my bike. Harley dealer sent the pipes back to Vance & Hines to check out for fit. Vance & Hines told the Harley dealer that the pipes were the right fit.

I called Vance & Hines in California in June and talk to Bruce (562-921-7461) head engineer. He told me the pipes were fine and they have sold thousands of that pipe for that bike and I was the first one to have a problem.
Harley headcorders in York PA told me that the bike was in spec. and the problem was with the aftermarket pipes that I perched from the Harley store in Baltimore by the way who sold me the bike. And I found that they will not warranty the aftermarket stuff on my bike where the dealer told me that any install parts and accessories will be under Harley's extended 5 year warranty (That I perched when I paid for the bike) someone lied to me.
Vance & Hines 17911 Big Shots Staggered retail price quote by Vance & Hines $575.00

Harley Davidson of Baltimore price $632.95... That's 57.95 over the retail price according to Vance & Hines. Harley did over charge me for the pipes. I would have never found out if the pipes had fit.

It's now the end of the riding season, cold weather is coming and I really don't want a 2005 bike to ride in 2008.This has gone on long enough.
